Tom Holland reveals that the break between filming Uncharted and Spider-Man: No Way Home was only three days. No Way Home is one of the most highly anticipated movies of the year and marks the end of the Homecoming trilogy and potentially the end of Holland's time as Spider-Man. The second Spider-Man: No Way Home trailer was recently released and its immense popularity demonstrates just how much fans love Holland as the web-slinging superhero.

Of course, No Way Home isn't the only hotly anticipated film coming up for Holland, with Uncharted scheduled to release in February of next year. The film sees Holland take on the role of adventurer and treasure hunter Nathan Drake. The action-adventure film is an adaptation of the popular video game franchise of the same name and features Mark Wahlberg, Sophia Taylor Ali, and Tati Gabrielle in supporting roles. If the film proves to be a success, it certainly seems likely that an Uncharted 2 could be put in development.

In a new article from GQ, Holland reveals that he only had a three-day break between filming for the two massive projects. He finished shooting Uncharted in Berlin and three days later he was in Atlanta filming No Way Home. The short break was made worse by the fact that Uncharted was a very physically demanding shoot and Holland had developed tendonitis by the time it was over. Holland explains that, while Spider-Man's mask in No Way Home meant more CGI could be used, he was frequently doing many stunts himself in Uncharted. Check out Holland's full comment below:

"I never realized how lucky I am that Spider-Man wears a mask, because when he’s bouncing around and flying from buildings, that’s all CG. In Uncharted it’s just me in a henley and cargo pants. That film absolutely broke me."

Holland's role as Spider-Man has made him one of the most in-demand and popular actors in the world and it's likely that the short break between Uncharted and Spider-Man is indicative of the last several years of his life. His appearance in Captain America: Civil War and his first standalone Spider-Man film, Homecoming, rocketed the British actor to fame and, between his time doing MCU movies and other films like The Devil All The Time and Cherry, he's basically been in the spotlight ever since. Considering Holland's acting track record and dedication to his craft, though, it's not likely audiences will actually see any evidence that he only had a three-day break on screen when the new Spider-Man film releases.

It sounds like Holland is long overdue for a bit of a break, even if it's just for a few weeks. Between the press tours for No Way Home, the filming of new projects, and the upcoming press tour for Uncharted, Holland never seems to slow down. It's not unusual for lead actors in action franchises to experience injuries on set and get battered and bruised during filming, but bouncing so quickly between physically demanding productions like Holland did is surely not sustainable. Audiences will have plenty of Holland action to watch when Spider-Man: No Way Home releases this December 17 followed quickly by Uncharted on February 11 of next year.
