Sony's Spider-Man: Far From Home star Tom Holland doesn't mind playing favorites when it comes to his suits, especially when they feature a zipper. Holland first took up the mantle of Spider-Man in Captain America: Civil War, when Tony Stark recruited him to help capture Captain America and his friends. Holland followed that appearance up with his first standalone film, Spider-Man: Homecoming, before falling victim to Thanos' snap in Avengers: Infinity War. However, he was brought back in Avengers: Endgame and went on to star in Spider-Man: Far From Home earlier this year. Though many actors have taken on the role of Spider-Man over the years, Holland's take on the character, which plays up Peter Parker's youth and awkwardness, has become a fan-favorite.

Holland's incarnation of Spider-Man is also notable for being the first time the character has been incorporated into the MCU. Sony, who owns the rights to Spider-Man, struck up a historic deal with Marvel in 2015 to include the character in MCU films. The deal stated that Sony would distribute Spider-Man's solo films, while Marvel would handle the ones he doesn't star in. Though many have praised his inclusion in the MCU, that may come to an end soon with the recent news that Sony and Marvel can't agree on a new deal. Though there's a chance that everything will work out and Spider-Man will remain in the MCU, as of now his fate is up in the air.

Despite everything going on with his character, Holland is still taking time to discuss all things Spider-Man. According to ComicBook, Holland spoke about his suit preferences during a panel at Keystone Comic Con last weekend. Holland said, "I like the stealth suit. For one very selfish reason: I can go to the bathroom in it. It’s the only suit I can go and use the bathroom. Unzip it, I love it." Holland, who wore the stealth suit in Spider-Man: Far From Home, went on to say, "I’ve asked them so many times, ‘Can I have a zipper? It’s such a pain to take it on and off to go to the bathroom,’ and they’re like, ‘No.’"

Marvel Phase 4 Tom Holland as Peter Parker Spider Man

Spider-Man's suits are a big part of his character, and Holland has already donned several versions. In addition to the stealth suit, in Spider-Man: Far From Home Holland also wears the Peter Parker suit that his character makes himself. In Spider-Man: Homecoming Peter wears an impressive three suits, including a fun homemade one, though it doesn't have the sleekness of the Peter Parker suit he makes later on. In that movie, Spider-Man also wears the Stark suit introduced in Captain America: Civil War, and fans can catch a glimpse of the Iron Spider suit as well.

Actors and actresses in superhero TV shows and movies often speak about the challenges of wearing their costumes. For example, Supergirl made news back in July with the announcement that the title heroine would finally trade her skirt in for pants. Series star Melissa Benoist pointed out that the decision was partly influenced by how cold she would get on set. Obviously costume authenticity is important in superhero media especially, but it's understandable that the people wearing them want to be comfortable. For Holland's sake, here's hoping fans haven't seen the last of his favorite suit from Spider-Man: Far From Home.
