A new training video of Spider-Man actor Tom Holland has shown his impressive boxing skills. Holland's breakout role came in 2012 when he appeared in J.A. Bayona's The Impossible alongside Ewan McGregor and Naomi Watts. While the movie was well-received and was even nominated for an Oscar, Holland didn't become a household name until he appeared in Captain America: Civil War as Spider-Man.

With Spider-Man being one of the most popular Marvel heroes, many had been waiting for the character to join the MCU. In February 2015, Marvel struck a deal with Sony to include Spidey in the MCU, and later that year, Holland was cast as Peter Parker. Holland's gymnastic and dancing background made him a good fit for the role. Only being 20 years old in 2016 also allowed him to convincingly pull off the role of a high schooler, something that Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield's movies couldn't quite do. Like most MCU actors, Holland bulked up for the role and has continued to train for his multiple Marvel appearances.

A new video from ESPN Ringside shows Holland boxing with a trainer. While the video has recently resurfaced, this training session dates back to July 2021. The full video of Holland's impressive boxing moves can be seen below:

Holland's future as Peter Parker after Spider-Man: No Way Home is currently unknown. 2019 saw a brief scare of Spider-Man being cut out of the MCU, but with the web-slinger being one of the most popular characters in the MCU, it's possible Disney will continue to work out a deal with Sony. Sony is expanding its Spider-Man franchise with films like Venom: Let There Be Carnage and Morbius, both of which are rumored to have connections to the MCU. Whether that happens or not remains to be seen, but both studios could benefit from bridging the two cinematic universes.

Holland has remained in good shape the past few years due to his involvement in the MCU and UnchartedThe Spider-Man sequel wrapped filming in March and then underwent reshoots in August. With this video originally being filmed in July, Holland was likely training to film additional scenes for Spider-Man: No Way Home. While the above video is an interesting insight into Holland's training routine, it's unlikely the actor will share more exercise videos for a while. Holland hasn't been announced for anything past Uncharted, so the actor may be taking some time off from the punching bags.
