Warning: Spoilers for Amazing Spider-Man: The Sins of Norman Osborn #1.

Batman has the Joker, Superman has Lex Luthor, Captain America has the Red Skull, and Spider-Man has the Green Goblin. As the hero's arch nemesis, Norman Osborn has caused enough pain in Spider-Man's life to last multiple lifetimes. But now the two are forming an unlikely duo all in the hopes to take down Kindred, the villain seemingly creating havoc behind the scenes for Spider-Man for the past two years... and tormenting both Norman and Spider-Man in their dreams.

In Amazing Spider-Man: The Sins of Norman Osborn #1 by Nick Spencer, art by Federico Vicentini, colors by Edgar Delgado, and letters by Joe Caramagna, Spidey's commitment to his morals cannot stop him from saving Norman, because he knows Sin-Eater has a more nefarious plot than simply taking away Norman's sins. But a refusal to kill soon develops into something bigger: a reluctant team-up with his greatest foe, as they traverse through the halls of Ravencroft escaping the mob.

As the two make their way to the cell that once held an insane Norman Osborn, Spider-Man's suspicions are proven valid, realizing Norman is always scheming and up to no good. The walls of his cell fade away to reveal a derelict lair where his old Green Goblin suit and glider hang, just waiting to be worn again. Norman tells Spider-Man that they both know they will be the end of each other. That is, unless Kindred gets in the way. In the hopes to survive the coming onslaught orchestrated by Kindred, Norman and Peter know the only path forward must be taken as a team.

Spider-Man and Norman Osborn

A precarious partnership built on the knowledge that it will always come down to Pete vs Norman. Almost as if Norman wants Kindred out of the way as much as Kindred wants Norman off the board, all so they can have Spider-Man to themselves. Like a scorned ex-lover who wants Spider-Man all to himself Norman wants to end Kindred just as much as Spider-Man, despite Spidey knowing so little about him. Norman on the other hand has been tormented by Kindred for some time, even visiting him in while committed in the insane asylum.

A reluctant relationship to end a mutual threat that has been scheming for the past two years, will the Green Goblin actually help fend off Sin-Eater and the coming Kindred? Or will he take his shot at Spider-Man at his first chance? And who is Kindred?!
