A batch of official Spider-Man: No Way Home hashtags confirm two major elements for the Marvel movie: Green Goblin and the multiverse. Spider-Man: No Way Home is perhaps the biggest Marvel movie to arrive since 2019's Avengers: Endgame, yet it's anyone's guess as to what it will actually contain. This is the third and potentially final MCU film centered on the beloved webslinger, and it brings Tom Holland back for his sixth franchise outing. No Way Home picks up following the events of Spider-Man: Far From Home, which saw Peter Parker's identity get exposed to the world.

Peter's attempt at reversing the events of Far From Home will unleash a multiversal crisis, thus opening the door for some exciting cast returns. Various stars of previous Spider-Man franchises are set to make appearances in No Way Home, with a handful already being confirmed by Marvel and Sony. Alfred Molina and Jamie Foxx will play their respective villains, Doc Ock and Electro, while all signs point to Willem Dafoe returning as Spider-Man's Green Goblin. However, unlike Molina and Foxx, Dafoe hasn't been explicitly confirmed for No Way Home.

One might say Dafoe's involvement is still up in the air, but Green Goblin's presence in Spider-Man: No Way Home has at least been made official thanks to some new emojis. Ahead of Tuesday's No Way Home trailer reveal, several emojis and hashtags tied to the film were revealed on social media (via MCU - The Direct). In addition to emojis for Spider-Man, Doc Ock, and Electro, Green Goblin is one of the characters with their own hashtags. The phrase "multiverse" also scored a hashtag, further cementing its importance to the story.

The first trailer for Spider-Man: No Way Home hinted at Green Goblin's return with an ominous voiceover and one of Dafoe's pumpkin bombs. Beyond that, the No Way Home poster featured Green Goblin lingering in the background, though he was too far away to make out any specific features. His inclusion among the new list of emojis suggests he could finally appear in the second trailer, which would be met with much excitement from fans.

Much of the buzz surrounding Spider-Man: No Way Home involves the potential involvement of Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield. Despite Marvel and Sony's best efforts to keep their cameos under lock and key, various leaks and reports have led fans to wholeheartedly believe the two actors will appear. On that front, things still remain unclear, but audiences can at least count on a few thrilling returns. Plus, as the emojis point out, the multiverse is officially here with Spider-Man: No Way Home. That means anything can happen.
