Jamie Foxx responds to the recently released Spider-Man: No Way Home trailer with a tease on social media. The Oscar-winning actor for Ray starred in 2014's The Amazing Spider-Man 2 as Max Dillion, an electrical engineer for Oscorp Industries who accidentally falls into a vat of genetically-engineered electric eels, transforming him into the electrically-charged adversary for Andrew Garfield's Spider-Man known as Electro. While that sequel didn't perform well critically or commercially, Foxx will be returning to the role in the upcoming MCU threequel.

No Way Home picks up immediately in the aftermath of Far From Home's mid-credits scene in which Peter Parker's (Tom Holland) secret identity as Spider-Man is revealed to the world by J. Jonah Jameson (J.K. Simmons) and Mysterio (Jake Gyllenhaal). To fix this mess, Peter seeks the help of Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) to cast some magic and make everyone forget, though the spell goes awry and breaks open the multiverse, allowing supervillains from alternate realities to enter the MCU. Other than Foxx's Electro, Doc Ock (Alfred Molina) and Green Goblin (Willem Dafoe) will also appear.

Now that No Way Home's second trailer is out there for all to see, many of its stars have been sharing their reactions on social media. Jamie Foxx's was one of the most intriguing, sharing an image of a sky lit up with lighting, captioned "Light Em up" with the hashtag "#chasingspiders." Check out his post below:

While Foxx's post may seem short and innocent, his choice to use the plural of "spiders" in the hashtag could tease the appearance of more than one Spider-Man in the movie. At his point, it could be considered an open secret that Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield's Spider-Men will appear in No Way Home, though this has not been confirmed by Marvel. Instead, Kevin Feige has tried to temper expectations regarding these rumors.

Shifting the focus back to Foxx's Electro, the trailer revealed a complete redesign of the character from The Amazing Spider-Man 2, which attempted to modernize his look. For No Way Home, they went with a more comics-accurate design, including his signature star-shaped mask, which suggests this Electro might be a variant of the one introduced in the previous film. While Spider-Man: No Way Home will not be in short supply of villains, whether or not they have more than one Spider-Man to chase around remains to be seen.
