Merchandise for Spider-Man: No Way Home has tried to hide Multiverse clues - and failed. Marvel Studios has always liked to be as secretive as possible about their upcoming plots, but they're having trouble keeping the storyline of Spider-Man: No Way Home under wraps. The Multiverse was already something of an open secret, even before confirmation came of the return of Alfred Molina as Doctor Octopus.

The next problem is related to tie-in merchandise, officially announced before Spider-Man 3's trailer has even dropped. To be fair to Marvel and the various toy manufacturers, there are no massive giveaways; Hasbro hasn't announced an official Marvel Legends three-pack featuring the three different big-screen versions of Spider-Man, for example. Still, viewers have indeed been given their first look at Spider-Man's new "Integrated Suit" - and that's enough to drop some major Multiverse clues.

The Integrated Suit is a pretty cool redesign, something of a blend between Tony Stark's Iron Spider design and the new suit Peter Parker developed for himself in Spider-Man: Far From Home. The real problem with Spider-Man's Integrated Suit comes with the Funko Pop, which shows a mysterious mystical shape hovering over the spider logo on Spidey's chest and a notable flare of magical energy over his web-shooters. It's likely this is called the "Integrated Suit" because it integrates science and sorcery.

Spider-Man No Way Home Integrated Suit

This is unlikely to mean Spider-Man will be becoming a sorcerer anytime soon; rather, it's likely he has been given some sort of mystical artifact in order to achieve some goal, and that is a strong nod towards the Multiverse. After all, according to the Ancient One, the MCU's magic is tied to the Multiverse; as she explained in Doctor Strange, Marvel's mystic "harness energy drawn from other dimensions of the Multiverse, to cast spells, conjure shields and weapons to make magic." Given Spider-Man lacks the ability to traverse the Multiverse himself, this Integrated Suit is probably enchanted by Doctor Strange to allow him to jump between the dimensions - turning Doctor Strange into the new Iron Man, mentor and equipper to the MCU's wall-crawler. The interesting question, though, is just what enchantment has been placed upon Spider-Man's web-shooters as well.

The first wave of Spider-Man 3 merchandise is attempting to conceal the film's Multiversal themes, but it isn't quite pulling it off. There will most likely, however, be more merchandise to come - timed after the release of the first trailers to show other incarnations of Spider-Man, including the (surely inevitable) Marvel Legends three-pack containing models based on Tom Holland, Tobey Maguire, and Andrew Garfield. As far as Spider-Man: No Way Home is concerned, the best is yet to come.
