With Peter's new suit from Spider-Man: No Way Home revealed, how does it compare to past costumes constructed by Tony Stark and the web-slinger himself? Even by the MCU's clandestine standards, Spider-Man: No Way Home is shrouded in secrecy, but despite Kevin Feige's best efforts to keep those secrets hidden (presumably by gagging Tom Holland and Alfred Molina), new details have surfaced. Merchandise packaging so often drops major reveals ahead of time, and Spider-Man: No Way Home is no different, with a new LEGO Sanctum Sanctorum set offering up a web of previously-hidden potential plot hints.

A Wong minifig confirms an appearance from Doctor Strange's loyal assistant (fresh from another cameo in Shang-Chi), and MJ can be seen fighting a Scorpion-like robot enemy, maybe hinting toward the return of Michael Mando's villain from Spider-Man: Homecoming. Strange apparently has some kind of workshop beneath the Sanctum too, suggesting he'll take over as Peter's mentor. By far the most significant reveals, however, are Spidey's two new costumes - one black and gold, and another red, black and gold piece that appears to be Spider-Man: No Way Home's "main" costume.

Referred to as the "Integrated Suit" or "Integration Suit," the primary costume takes the basic Spider-Man template and adds black to the lower arms and upper legs. The middle spider motif has been enlarged and is now made from a dull gold color, but golden web-shooters can be seen attached to Spidey's forearms too. Compared to the Stark-made suit Peter Parker debuted in Captain America: Civil War, the No Way Home design is entirely different, devoid of blue and decorated with a completely altered logo. Only the mask remains unchanged from those early days. Instead, the getup represents a hybrid between Stark's Iron Spider armor and the costume Peter made in the final act of Spider-Man: Far From Home. The black coloring on the limbs comes directly from Far From Home, albeit slightly scaled down, and the sprawling metallic logo is very similar to the torso of the Iron Spider seen in Avengers: Infinity War - though the blue and gold has been swapped out for gold, gold and more gold.

Considering the hybrid design and the "integrated" name on the tag, Peter Parker's new Spider-Man: No Way Home costume could combine his most recent self-made outfit with the very best features from the Iron Spider, birthing a best-of-both-worlds ensemble. Other clues, however, suggest the costume could be connected to Stephen Strange as much as it is Tony Stark. Perusing Marvel's forthcoming selection of Spider-Man: No Way Home merchandise, the "Integration Suit" is the red, black and gold number shown on the LEGO Sanctum Sanctorum set. But there's also a Funko Pop of Spidey in his "Integrated Suit" which clearly shows a Doctor Strange contraption attached to the center where a Spider logo would otherwise sit, as well as some mystic arts magic emanating from his web-shooter. This implies that Peter and Strange work together in the Sanctum's workshop to upgrade the Spider-Man: Far From Home suit into something capable of traversing the multiverse - and therein lies the true purpose of the latest costume.

In the wake of Tony Stark's demise, MCU fans might've hoped Tom Holland's character would forge on alone in Spider-Man: No Way Home, rather than relying on the mentorship of an older hero. Based on these costume designs, it would seem young Peter has simply replaced one goatee with another - even adorning his costume with mystical technology from the mind of Doctor Strange. As much as this might disappoint some, the idea of Peter's costume swinging him through the multiverse like a sling ring does for Strange is tantalizingly intriguing, and could lead to much reality-bending fun - without going through the long process of Pym Particles and Quantum Realms all over again.
