Tom Holland is tired of lying about Spider-Man: No Way Home. The upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe movie has now had its world premiere in Los Angeles and has begun rolling out internationally, with is debut in the United States slated for December 17. No Way Home marks Holland's sixth overall appearance as Spider-Man since being introduced in 2016's Captain America: Civil War and his third solo outing alongside MJ (Zendaya) and Ned (Jacob Batalon). The cast also includes Benedict Cumberbatch, Jon Favreau, Marisa Tomei, and J.K. Simmons.

Marvel and Sony have gone to great lengths to keep much about the Spider-Man threequel under wraps, though they have revealed a lot of ancillary plot details. No Way Home picks up immediately in the aftermath of Far From Home's credits scene, which sees Mysterio (Jake Gyllenhaal) frame Spider-Man for his murder and exposes his secret identity with the help of J. Jonah Jameson (J.K. Simmons). After the media casts MJ and Ned as Spider-Man's accomplices, which ruin their chances of getting into college, Peter implores Doctor Strange (Cumberbatch) to fix this whole mess with magic, which goes awry and allows villains from past Spider-Man franchises to arrive.

With No Way Home's US release right around the corner, the cast is in the last leg last of their press tour. In an interview with Yahoo Entertainment UK, Holland opened up about how it has begun to weigh on them, especially because they've had to lie and and deceive people in order to protect the movie's secrets. Read what he had to say below:

We're pretty tired of constantly lying and deceiving people. I feel like conscience is weighing on me now. It's tough.

It's interesting that Holland would openly admit that the cast has been lying and purposefully deceiving people, which means some of what they've said has been untrue. Of all the lies they have potentially told during No Way Home's press tour, the biggest one would probably be appearances from Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield's previous incarnations of Spider-Man, which Holland has flatly denied on several occasions. However, this has done little to lower fan expectations.

As the face of No Way Home, Holland has unfortunately been faced with the most questions regarding the film's secrets, especially Maguire and Garfield's involvement. However, he clearly hasn't been able to reveal anything, likely due to an NDA or other legal agreement with the studio, leaving him no choice but to lie and deceive, so it's understandable that has begun to weigh on him. The good news is that it's almost over, as Spider-Man: No Way Home debuts almost everywhere in a few short days.
