A new Spider-Man: No Way Home set photo surfaces featuring Peter Parker walking through the snow in New York around Christmas time. Holland returns to lead the cast of the Marvel Cinematic Universe threequel alongside Benedict Cumberbatch as Doctor Strange, Zendaya, Jon Favreau, Jacob Batalon, Marisa Tomei, J.B. Smoove and Benedict Wong. The film will also see the returns of Alfred Molina as Doctor Otto "Ock" Octavius and Jamie Foxx as Max Dillon, better known as Electro, while the Green Goblin will make an appearance with an unnamed actor portraying the villain.

Spider-Man: No Way Home will see Peter Parker turning to Doctor Strange for help after his secret identity is outed to the public and he is framed for murder by Mysterio in the post-credits of Spider-Man: Far From Home. However, Strange's spell goes awry and opens the doors to a multiverse of chaos, forcing the two to confront the dangers such a breach of the time space continuum holds for the world. Audiences are eagerly awaiting the film's theatrical premiere, a new hint of what's to come has been unveiled.

The latest Spider-Man: No Way Home set photo may not offer any explicit clues for what the film entails, but it does offer an interesting tease of the timeline the film will cover. Though no explicit dates were given for the setting of Spider-Man: Far From Home, it has generally been described as taking place over the course of a summer, with the post-credits scene likely taking place within that three-month span, subsequently establishing No Way Home as kicking off around the end of summer or early fall. As seen in the first Spider-Man: No Way Home trailer, Parker seemingly gets his idea to approach Strange from a Halloween decoration resembling the Sorcerer Supreme and with the snow-covered streets seen in the set photo, the film seems to cover at least a few months in Parker's life.

While it could be argued that Spider-Man: No Way Home's filmmakers elected to make a rare snowy day in October, the small Christmas decorations behind Tom Holland in the photo point towards the scene being set in December. It will be interesting to see how the holiday season factors into the story, but also what the parchment Peter is holding as he walks determinedly down the street entails. Only time will tell when Spider-Man: No Way Home hits theaters on December 17, just in time for the Christmas season.
