Tom Holland teases that the trailer of Spider-Man: No Way Home was only the tip of the iceberg and more plot twists are coming for the film. The upcoming installment in the Marvel Cinematic Universe will see Holland return as the titular webslinger alongside Benedict Cumberbatch as Doctor Stephen Strange, Alfred Molina as Doctor Octopus, Jamie Foxx as Electro, Willem Dafoe as Green Goblin, Zendaya as MJ, Jacob Batalon as Ned, Jon Favreau as Happy and Benedict Wong as Wong. The film is once again directed by Jon Watts on a script from Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers.

Spider-Man: No Way Home will pick up from the events of Far From Home, in which Mysterio has exposed Peter Parker's identity as the titular hero and framed him for his murder. Peter turns to Doctor Strange for help to fix everything by concocting a spell to eliminate everyone's memory of Peter being Spider-Man, though things go awry and threats from across the multiverse arise. Peter will have to face off against Doc Ock, Electro and the Green Goblin and learn what it really means to be Spider-Man.

The idea that there is still more to come from Spider-Man: No Way Home will certainly send fans into a bigger fervor than the arrival of the trailer itself. Theories have run rampant on the internet since it was confirmed that the film would tie closely to Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, with many believing Sony is looking to capitalize on the success of the animated Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse by bringing its three live-action webslinging franchises together with the MCU. The trailer did confirm a multitude of theories and reports Marvel and Sony had been mum on for the past year, including the return of Molina's Doc Ock and Foxx's Electro while also surprising fans with the seeming return of Dafoe's Green Goblin, further pushing many to believe Andrew Garfield and Tobey Maguire could be returning, despite Holland denying said rumors.

Whatever the case may be for Holland's tease of "what else is to come," the level of secrecy surrounding Spider-Man: No Way Home is quickly proving to be more understandable with every new reveal. With Holland's contract to play Spider-Man technically concluding after the threequel, it certainly looks as though he could be going out on a high note should Sony and Marvel elect to proceed with a new actor after the film, despite Holland's continued interest in the role. Only time will tell when Spider-Man: No Way Home arrives in theaters on December 17.
