Breaking Bad’s Saul Goodman replaces Matt Murdock as Peter Parker’s lawyer in a fan edit of Spider-Man: No Way Home. Last year’s multiversal blockbuster saw Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield’s Spider-Men help Tom Holland’s webslinger deal with their respective baddies. Another hero who made his official MCU debut was Charlie Cox’s lawyer by day, crime fighter by night, Matt Murdock. Following Netflix’s cancellation of Daredevil, Marvel Studios now exclusively owns the rights to the Defenders saga—which is why Cox’s character was able to aid Peter in his legal troubles.

In Far From Home’s mid-credits, Mysterio (Jake Gyllenhaal) revealed Spider-Man’s identity and implicated him as a murderer. In No Way Home, Matt Murdock appeared alongside Peter, Aunt May, and Happy Hogan in a short, yet effective scene as he helped them handle the fall out of Far From Home and explained he’s “a really good lawyer.” That said, countless great lawyers have graced screens big and small, and one fan has imagined Peter Parker being represented by another iconic lawyer in Bob Odenkirk’s Saul Goodman.

Alternative Cuts on YouTube recently shared an edit of Daredevil’s scene from No Way Home, which replaces Cox’s character with Odenkirk’s from Breaking Bad. The video uses clips from Odenkirk’s first appearance as Saul on the AMC series and seamlessly works them into the conversation with Peter, May, and Happy. Instead of talking about Mysterio and the court of public opinion, the quartet discusses Spider-Man doing something pretty inappropriate at the local Starbucks. Check it out below:

In Breaking Bad, Saul Goodman represented Walter White/Heisenberg for crimes much worse than that of Peter Parker/Spider-Man. Odenkirk’s lawyer is set to return in the upcoming final season of Better Call Saul, the prequel series that explores small-time attorney Jimmy McGill’s transformation into his crooked alter-ego, Saul Goodman. Season 6 of Better Call Saul will be split into two parts with its first two episodes premiering on April 18th. Part two of Season 6 will begin airing its episodes on July 11th.

As for Daredevil, the character’s archenemy, Vincent D’Onofrio’s Wilson Fisk/Kingpin, also made his MCU debut in Disney+’s Hawkeye. Furthermore, every season of Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Iron Fist, Luke Cage, The Punisher, and The Defenders became available on Disney+ on March 16. Reports of a Daredevil reboot and/or appearances in upcoming shows like Echo continue to swirl while Disney+ adds new parental controls. Until fans see him again, they can watch him in No Way Home, which has already broken records for the most digital sales within a week of home release.
