Andrew Garfield and Tobey Maguire reprise their superhero roles and join Tom Holland in a Spider-Man: No Way Home trailer fan edit. The aforementioned actors have long been rumored to appear in the Jon Watts-directed movie, and many fans expected to see them in the recently released trailer for it. But that didn't happen, so a content creator took it upon themselves to rectify the situation by including them in the video.

Spider-Man: Far From Home acts as the jumping point for the threequel's story, but its primary narrative revolves around the burgeoning multiverse of the MCU, with the arrival of multiple villains from both Sam Raimi's Spider-Man movies and the Amazing Spider-Man timeline. Spider-Man: No Way Home's second trailer expands on what was previously revealed, showing other bad guys from other universes, including the first look at Willem Dafoe's returning Green Goblin, Rhys Ifans' Lizard, and Thomas Haden Church's Sandman alongside the previously-confirmed Doc Ock, played by Alfred Molina. While the trailer didn't reveal Maguire and Garfield's versions of the wall-crawler, many are convinced that they are simply edited out of the clip.

So, YouTube content creator stryderHD came up with a version of the Spider-Man: No Way Home trailer with both actors in their respective Spider-Man suits, helping Holland's hero during the final battle. In the clip, all three team up to fight a variation of the Sinister Six in the Statue of Liberty's construction site. All of them are also prominently featured on the highlight shot of the video, which sees them going up against Electro, Sandman, and Lizard. Check out the fan edit below:

For what it's worth, there is no concrete indication that there's truth to these speculations. Both Marvel Studios and Sony Pictures Entertainment have been mum about the matter. Meanwhile, Garfield has repeatedly denied it, although he did walk back on some of his comments later on. That being said, between mounting evidence and the film's actual premise, there's a very good chance that the aforementioned rumor is true. In fact, fans have been dissecting the Spider-Man: No Way Home trailer for any clues about the other Spider-Men's involvement. At this point, there's no word yet if there will still be a third trailer for the movie since it's less than a month away from hitting theaters, but marketing is in full swing with a barrage of TV spots getting rolled out.

On that note, since it's not going to be that long before the movie is officially out in the world, fans wouldn't have to wait that much longer to learn what's really going on in the movie. It's no secret that there's a lot of interest in Spider-Man: No Way Home, and it's arguably the most anticipated movie of the year. This is why Marvel Studios and Sony can get away with barely marketing the project, because they know that at the end of the day, people will go see it when it premieres in a few weeks.
