Since Spider-Man: No Way Home already had a lengthy runtime to accommodate its massive story, it was assumed that not much was left on the cutting room floor of the 2-hour and 28-minute movie. Sony proved otherwise when it announced Spider-Man: No Way Home - The More Fun Stuff Version as a special re-release coming to theaters after the film's home video debut. The new cut was announced to contain roughly 13 minutes of new footage sprinkled throughout the film, pushing the runtime to 2 hours and 41 minutes.
Spider-Man: No Way Home's extended cut has a variety of differences from the original cut and additions by adding deleted sequences back into the movie. She and Agent Cleary go back and forth about her being detained and the unfair treatment. May even mentions that this is far from the first time she has been arrested. It gives Aunt May more fight in her conversation, as the original cut only shows Cleary threatening May with taking away her custody of Peter without any of the build-up.
Tom Holland's Brother's Cameo Added Back In No Way Home More Fun Stuff Version
One of the fun additions to Spider-Man: No Way Home's extended cut is reinserting the scrapped cameo of Tom Holland's brother, Harry Holland. His brother plays a robber who Spider-Man stops in the street. The heroic act turns into a topic of debate among nearby civilians, as they question if Peter should be doing this. This includes questions about how old Spider-Man is, with many believing he is either 14 or 15. One of the civilians suggests that Spider-Man could even be working with the robber, leading to a meta line where Tom Holland says he does not know his brother.

Several new moments from Peter Parker's first day at school are shown in a Spider-Man: No Way Home extended cut montage. The new footage begins as Peter finishes walking through the first wave of students photographing and videoing him, with one kid then mentioning that he and Peter used to be lab partners. The movie then cuts to Peter in gym class, showing the gym teacher and some students pestering him to climb the wall, which Peter eventually does. Spider-Man: No Way Home - The More Fun Stuff Version shows Peter and MJ walking out of class as Flash Thompson is doing a book signing. One of the girls in line mentions how cute Peter is.

She talks to Mr. Harrington, Mr. Wilson, and Mr. Dell about various topics related to Spider-Man. Harrington goes on a tangent about Reddit deep-dives; Wilson says he never really noticed Peter's strength before; Dell wonders what his Spider-Man suit would look like. Betty also interviews Flash Thompson, who claims to have given Spider-Man his name. Ned Leeds also is interviewed by his ex-girlfriend, with Betty not missing a chance to ask him about sending questionable late-night texts. The segment wraps up with a piece of Betty's exclusive interview with Peter Parker. She asks him what he would say if he had the chance to talk to the radioactive spider that bit Spider-Man, and Peter affirms that he would thank the spider for biting him and giving him these powers.
"Monster Mash" Montage Reveals More Doctor Strange Secrets
Spider-Man: No Way Home - The More Fun Stuff Version adds to the fun by including a sequence at the Sanctum Sanctorum set to Bobby Picket's hit song "Monster Mash." The montage shows Peter, Ned, and MJ in the Sanctum's basement as they set up shop and find various strange items. The most notable is what looks to be a model version of the Sanctum Sanctorum, which also might have magical properties. MJ and Peter notice a shadowy figure moving inside it that appears to be a version of Doctor Strange.
The Daily Bugle Report Spreads Electro & Sandman's Arrival
Another new addition with J. Jonah Jameson in Spider-Man: No Way Home's extended cut comes after Spider-Man fights Electro and Sandman. Jameson has an electrical worker call into his show to give a first-hand explanation of the fight and Spider-Man destroying the power lines. The worker mentions he fought a dirt guy and someone with electrical powers. While that is a mostly accurate description of Sandman and Electro, Jameson does not believe the worker and questions if he has been drinking.
Spider-Man & The Villains Go To Happy's Apartment
A very quick new scene in Spider-Man: No Way Home - The More Fun Stuff Version comes as Peter, Aunt May, and the multiverse villains travel to Happy Hogan's apartment. The movie now includes a small moment where Peter, May, Electro, Doc Ock, Norman Osborn, and Sandman ride in an elevator together. It does not add anything to the movie's plot but does provide a funny image.
Matt Murdock Defends Happy Hogan In No Way Home More Fun Stuff Version
Daredevil fans can rejoice as Spider-Man: No Way Home's extended cut includes one additional Matt Murdock scene. Happy is questioned by Damage Control about if he had anything to do with stolen Stark Industries technology, and Happy hires Matt to be his lawyer. Happy is distracted when he gets an alert showing the villains, May, and Peter arrive at his apartment. While Matt does not get the chance to show his legal expertise, he does tell Happy to stop sweating so much. The comment leads Happy to ask him how the blind lawyer could know that.
Garfield and Maguire's Spider-Men Hope For More Adventures
Andrew Garfield and Tobey Maguire's Spider-Men get some extra time to chat before the final battle in Spider-Man: No Way Home - The More Fun Stuff Version. The conversation begins with Garfield's Spider-Man saying that as he thinks back on his time as a superhero, there are many things he wishes he could have done differently. Maguire's Spider-Man chimes in after this to mention that a second chance would be nice. Both lines could be read as the actors expressing interest in starring in new Spider-Man movies. The last new dialogue from this scene comes as Garfield's Spider-Man says the three of them need to do this again and that he will get their numbers after the fight, teasing a chance for the three Spider-Men to share the big screen again.
Holland and Garfield Question Maguire's Spider-Man Webbing
Spider-Man: No Way Home's extended cut includes an additional conversation about Tobey Maguire's Spider-Man's organic webbing before the final battle. Garfield and Holland's versions of the web-slinger ask how he can do it, questioning if it is a conscious act or if he has to do any particular movement to make the web shoot. It is part of the same sequence from the original cut where they ask how Maguire produces the web and if he has ever had a web block. Maguire's Spider-Man explains that shooting the web does not take much thought for him at this point. The last new line of dialogue comes when Garfield's Spider-Man says he wants to see the holes the webs shoot from.

There is also a small new moment for Tobey Maguire's Peter Parker in Spider-Man: No Way Home - The More Fun Stuff Version. During the conversation where the three Spider-Men discuss the different adventures they have all been on, Maguire's Peter says that he is stunned by the fantastical nature of Spider-Man's life. However, he and Garfield also agree that it all begins to feel a bit mundane simultaneously because fighting crazy villains, battling aliens, or traveling the multiverse has become so common.
Spider-Man: No Way Home Extended Cut Gets New Post-Credits Scene
One of the biggest changes in Spider-Man: No Way Home's extended cut comes after the credits. Instead of playing the Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness trailer again, there is a new Spider-Man: No Way Home post-credits scene. The scene shows some videos students see at Midtown School, including a segment by Betty Brant highlighting the last four years of high school. It offers glimpses from Spider-Man: Homecoming and Spider-Man: Far From Home, but none of the photos or videos used include Holland's Peter Parker. He is typically just out of frame, but a class photo from the Europe trip in Spider-Man: Far From Home obscures Peter's face by having a pigeon fly right in front of him. This appears that Doctor Strange's spell that erased everyone's memory of Peter Parker helped ensure people could not remember him by also removing any documented evidence of his face or existence. The Spider-Man: No Way Home - The More Fun Stuff Version post-credits scene is quite significant.
