Spider-Man: No Way Homes ending makes the first interaction between MCU's Peter Parker and Matt Murdock lose its meaning, but it also set up the stage for Spider-Man and Daredevil to finally team up. Spider-Man: No Way Home represented a celebration of two decades of Spider-Man films while also bringing new elements to Tom Holland’s version of the character. With higher stakes than any of the previous MCU Spider-Man films, No Way Home opened the doors to the Multiverse and changed Peter Parker’s life forever. While details about the next installment are still unknown, the friendly neighborhood hero could still team up with the Devil of Hell’s Kitchen.

After years of uncertainty regarding Marvel’s Netflix characters, Hawkeye finally laid out the path for those to appear in the MCU by having Wilson Fisk (Vincent D'Onofrio) as the behind-the-curtains antagonist. Kingpin's appearance in Hawkeye would not be the last surprise from Daredevil given that Charlie Cox would return as Matt Murdock in No Way Home in the same week. While questions about what events are canon are still unanswered, audiences can at least be sure that no Marvel actor or character is beyond the MCU’s reach.

Spider-Man: No Way Home has made an old dream of Marvel fans come true: Daredevil and Spider-Man were finally in a movie together. After decades of different reboots and legal issues, the two heroes of New York shared the screen for the first time (even if it was just their civilian versions). However, after all the anticipation, the relationship between Daredevil and Spider was given an abrupt end as everyone in the world, including Matt Murdock, forgot who Peter Parker was. The MCU must now find a way to reconnect the two characters without reusing the same idea from No Way Home. Instead of Peter Parker needing Matt Murdock, it could be Daredevil and Spider-Man, the masked heroes, who become partners.

Daredevil-Spider-Man-Featured

Daredevil and Spider-Man have always been somewhat friends in the comics. Both share a lot in common as being masked vigilantes in New York with not a lot of resources except for their skills. From the 616 to the Ultimate universe, crossovers between Daredevil and Spider were always common. In live-action, however, it was not until No Way Home that Matt Murdock and Peter Parker showed up in the same scene and, even still, with no interaction between their heroes’ personas. As Peter heads to a lonely life both as a person and as a hero, the end of No Way Home makes it possible for a future proper Daredevil and Spider-Man reunion.

Given how iconic the link between those heroes is, it is unlikely that the MCU will not give a Daredevil and Spider-Man team-up another shot. With an all-new Spider trilogy pretty much confirmed and Daredevil characters showing up in the MCU, the franchise has everything it needs to bring the friendly neighborhood hero and the Man Without Fear together again. In order not to repeat the same idea of Matt being Peter’s lawyer used in Spider-Man: No Way Home, this time their first interaction could be in the form of Daredevil and Spider-Man, the heroes, teaming up for a mission.
