Spider-Man: No Way Home had several crossovers audiences had never thought of seeing, yet it wasted a long-awaited interaction that can now be revisited in Avengers: The Kang Dynasty. The highest-grossing Spider-Man movie, No Way Home made the most of the multiverse concept and set the bar high for upcoming MCU team-up films. Still, not all of No Way Home’s big cameos were multiverse-related.

Between iconic Spider-Man villains from previous movies and the prospect of Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield returning as Spider-Man, No Way Home became a must-see event. Although the Spider-Man villains were the only major returning characters confirmed before the film, they only fueled the expectations for what else would No Way Home bring. One of those surprises was Charlie Cox’s Matt Murdock finally appearing in an MCU film.

No Way Home Didn’t Really Have Daredevil & Spider-Man Crossover

The expectations for what characters would appear in Spider-Man: No Way Home could not have been higher prior to the film’s release. With villains from previous Spider-Man franchises, such as Alfred Molina’s Doctor Octopus and Jaime Foxx’s Electro returning through the multiverse, it was all but confirmed that Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield would also appear in No Way Home. Still, the prospect of seeing Matt Murdock in No Way Home as Peter’s lawyer, a popular fan theory that made a lot of sense, was as exciting as having the three Spider-Men. However, while Matt was indeed Peter’s lawyer in No Way Home, Daredevil and Spider-Man did not interact.

Charlie Cox’s role in the film was limited to a brief scene in which Matt Murdock gives Peter legal advice, and while Matt already knew that Peter was Spider-Man, Parker had no idea that his lawyer was the Devil of Hell’s Kitchen. No Way Home did play with Matt Murdock’s skills in the “I’m a very good lawyer” bit, but it still lacked a proper Daredevil and Spider-Man crossover. Two of Marvel’s most important street-level heroes, Daredevil and Spider-Man share a lot of similarities and have crossover countless times in the comics. In fact, Daredevil’s greatest foe Kingpin is very much a Spider-Man villain, too.

Why Daredevil & Spider-Man Will Likely Meet In The Kang Dynasty

Daredevil and Spider-Man in MCU Civil War

By the end of No Way Home, the entire world has forgotten about Peter Parker, including Matt Murdock. After cameoing in She-Hulk: Attorney at Law, Daredevil will return in his own Disney+ MCU show Daredevil: Born Again. Although a Spider-Man cameo in Daredevil: Born Again cannot be ruled out, it is not very likely that Tom Holland reprises his role as Spider-Man in a Disney+ show, given that the Sony and Marvel deal for Spider-Man involves a certain number of appearances. Likewise, while Spider-Man 4 starring Tom Holland is happening, the film might only premiere during or after the MCU's Phase 6 release slate.

Therefore, the most likely option for when will Daredevil and Spider-Man meet in the MCU is Avengers: The Kang Dynasty. Tom Holland’s Spider-Man has been part of every Avengers-level crossover in the MCU since his 2016, from Captain America: Civil War to Avengers: Endgame, meaning that Peter will probably not miss The Kang Dynasty. Avengers 5 will also be the first Avengers movie since Daredevil debuted in a Marvel Studios production, which means that the MCU finally has the chance to use Daredevil in a big crossover film. As such, Spider-Man and Daredevil can finally work together in the upcoming Avengers: The Kang Dynasty.
