New images of Benedict Cumberbatch show him sporting his Doctor Strange mustache during Spider-Man: No Way Home reshoots. Director Jon Watts and Tom Holland are reuniting for the third time for the upcoming Marvel Studios and Sony Pictures Entertainment collaboration. While principal photography has wrapped up months ago in Atlanta, additional work has started in Los Angeles.

Very little is official regarding the plot details for Spider-Man: No Way Home. Rumor has it, however, that it will deal with the multiverse, effectively connecting it to the events of Loki. This is backed up by the idea that the threequel will have narrative connections to Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, as revealed by Kevin Feige himself back in December. While an official No Way Home marketing campaign hasn't started yet, merchandise has revealed Doctor Strange, J. Jonah Jameson, and a slew of details.

Recently, Cumberbatch was spotted in Los Angeles hanging out with Spider-Man: No Way Home cast including Holland, Zendaya, and Jacob Batalon. The images came from Instagram user jdlee1303 (via Tom Holland News/Twitter) who explained in his post that the group was grabbing dinner at Shutters when he saw them a couple of weeks ago. The snaps offer a clearer look at Cumberbatch sporting his signature Doctor Strange facial hair. Check out the images below:

Marketing for Spider-Man: No Way Home has yet to begin, and at this point, it's unsure when it will kickstart. There is still no concrete indication when the much-anticipated first trailer will drop, although recent rumors suggest that Marvel Studios and Sony are planning on debuting it as an event-exclusive at CinemaCon. Considering the fact that principal photography has long finished, Watts and his team would be able to craft a nifty first look even if reshoots are still ongoing. For those worried about the additional work on the threequel, however, it's worth remembering that blockbusters typically schedule pick-ups for extra filming.

The level of secrecy surrounding Marvel projects, including Spider-Man: No Way Home is usually very high. So it's interesting that Cumberbatch and the rest of the movie's primary cast were able to go out in the open to grab dinner. In any case, it will be interesting to see what kind of role Doctor Strange plays in the film. He could be Peter Parker's new mentor, serving as the youngster's gateway to the multiverse. It also remains to be seen which characters from other Spider-Man franchises will appear in the project.
