The saga of whether Andrew Garfield is in Spider-Man: No Way Home continues with a VFX video declaring the supposed leaked footage of him on set is real. As has been widely discussed on the internet, this December's Spider-Man: No Way Home has the potential to be the web-slinger's biggest movie yet thanks to an adventure that plunges him straight into the multiverse. After one of Doctor Strange's (Benedict Cumberbatch) spells goes wrong, Tom Holland's Peter Parker will find himself facing a multiversal crisis that will bring back past Spider-Man actors like Alfred Molina and Jamie Foxx.

It's also said that Spider-Man: No Way Home will feature Holland's Peter predecessors Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield. Naturally, Marvel and those associated with the movie haven't outright confirmed their presence, but all reports so far indicate they will hold cameos in the movie. On the topic of Garfield in particular, the actor himself has stated he isn't in Spider-Man: No Way Home, even after leaked footage appeared to show him on set. Garfield claimed the footage was faked, but while someone came forward claiming to have deepfaked it, that was later debunked.

The idea that the leaked Garfield video is fake has been further debunked in a new feature from the Corridor Crew. VFX artists Niko and Sam sat down to dissect the supposed Spider-Man: No Way Home set footage and determined whether it is truly a deepfake. Their conclusion? It is not. The Corridor Crew members even break down why the original debunked deepfake video could be so easily disproven. Check out the full video down below.

This, more than anything, feels like it could be solid proof that Garfield is in fact in Spider-Man: No Way Home. The footage could be from one of Garfield's previous outings as Spider-Man, but his appearance in it doesn't quite align with how he looked in 2012 or 2014. However, as it still seems unlikely that Marvel or Garfield will confirm his role until closer to the movie, this debate will probably continue to rage on. Spider-Man: No Way Home has the potential to include a massive cast, and Garfield just might be included in it. We just won't know for sure.

Spider-Man: No Way Home is poised to feature a cast comprised of both returning MCU players and those from past iterations of the character. The trailer for the movie already confirmed Molina's appearance and hinted at Willem Dafoe's return as the Green Goblin. In other words, longtime Spider-Man fans will surely get a kick out of seeing No Way Home unravel. Here's just hoping it doesn't disappoint, as Garfield already warned it might.
