Daniel Radcliffe reveals that if there's one MCU character that he's a "natural fit" to play, it's Spider-Man. First introduced to audiences in Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone in 2001, Radcliffe would go on to become one of the most recognizable actors working today, reprising his role as the young wizard for seven subsequent films. Since the conclusion of his Harry Potter journey, Radcliffe has had a varied career, appearing in everything from major blockbusters to smaller indie films.

Radcliffe's next movie, The Lost City, sees him take on more of a villain role, starring opposite Sandra Bullock and Channing Tatum as an eccentric billionaire in search of a fabled lost city. While Radcliffe has played a variety of characters throughout his career, one area that he has yet to explore is the superhero genre. The roster of MCU and DCEU heroes grows larger every year, with new actors constantly being brought on to introduce new characters to root for in both movies and TV.

In a new interview with Insider, Radcliffe explains that he's not totally closed to the idea of starring in a superhero movie and that, if any hero is a "natural fit" for him, it's Spider-Man. Radcliffe goes on to explain, however, that Tom Holland is "incredible" as the Marvel hero and that "no one could ever replace him." Check out Radcliffe's full comment below when asked about whether he'd be interested in doing a superhero movie:

"Like everything, if it was cool and weird and different and had something that I really loved about it, then absolutely, I would do that. The one I would be a natural fit for has now been done by three very good actors. Tom Holland is incredible and no one could ever replace him, so I'll let that one go."

Radcliffe, of course, is referring to Holland, Tobey Maguire, and Andrew Garfield as the "three very good actors," with Maguire first popularizing the role back in the early 2000s. Radcliffe doesn't elaborate on what makes him a "natural fit" for the character, but the actor has expressed interest in being Spider-Man before, even going so far as to dress up as the character and go incognito at a past San Diego Comic-Con. While interested in the role, Radcliffe also seems at peace with the notion that it'll probably never happen, previously saying, "the boat has sailed."

As Radcliffe explains, the recent mega-success of Spider-Man: No Way Home certainly has cemented Holland as a fan-favorite version of the character, with the future of Spider-Man somewhat unclear if he opts not to return for another film. Although Radcliffe, now 32, might be somewhat on the older side in terms of the typical age range associated with Spider-Man, Maguire, who is 46, and Garfield, 38, both just recently returned in Spider-Man: No Way Home and were beloved by fans. While, admittedly, it does seem unlikely that Radcliffe will ever get his wish to play Spider-Man, the multiverse introduced in Spider-Man: No Way Home certainly means anything is possible.
