If Spider-Man were to appear in one of Marvel Studios' upcoming Disney+ shows, Tom Holland would like it to be in WandaVision. Marvel has already confirmed that Holland will return as Spider-Man in Phase 4 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe for a third solo film, but movies are just a part of their plans now. The studio is developing multiple shows for Disney's streaming service, but none of them are set to include the web-slinger.

Marvel Studios' plans for Disney+ begin this year with the release of The Falcon and The Winter Soldier in August and WandaVision in December. Originally set to be released in 2021, it was announced earlier this year that WandaVision's debut had been moved up. The show stars Elizabeth Olsen as Wanda Maximoff aka Scarlet Witch and Paul Bettany as Vision, and the first footage from WandaVision showed just how different it will be to anything else the MCU has done before. This didn't just get fans excited to see the show later this year, but also has Holland interested in appearing.

During an interview with MTV, Holland was asked which Marvel Disney+ show he would most like Spider-Man to appear in and WandaVision was his answer. Spider-Man is not currently set to appear in the series, but Holland wouldn't mind seeing that change. He expressed his interest in the sitcom approach to WandaVision and his desire to work with Olsen and Bettany again.

I think the WandaVision show looks really cool. I don't really know what it's about and it looks very stylistic. It almost looks a bit of a sitcom the way they've shot it. I don't really understand what is going on, but I know that it looks really cool. Paul and Elizabeth are two of the nicest people I know and I would love to work with them some more and get to know a little bit better. So if I could put Spider-Man in the WandaVision show, that'd be great Kevin Feige. If you want to do that you know my number.

I love Lucy Wandavision

As fun as it would be to see Spider-Man in WandaVision, it is something that fans and Holland should not get their hopes up about. Production is well underway for the series and Holland would know by now if he was going to appear. He'll be busy filming Uncharted soon before beginning work on Spider-Man 3 too, so there may not even be time to make an appearance work from a scheduling standpoint. Instead of Spider-Man's return for WandaVision, the show is set to bring back Jimmy Woo (Randall Park), Darcy Lewis (Kat Dennings), and a grown-up Monica Rambeau (Teyonah Parris).

Although Spider-Man likely won't make a surprise appearance in WandaVision, it is easy to understand why Holland would choose this MCU Disney+ show above the rest. The series looks unlike anything Marvel has done before and is arguably the most exciting project in Phase 4. But, if Marvel and Sony do want Spider-Man to appear in an upcoming Disney+ show, there are several possibilities. The alternate reality nature of Loki could feature Holland as a completely different version of Spider-Man or he could team up with Kamala Khan in Ms. Marvel. If Disney+ is off the table for Spider-Man, though, at least we already know another Spider-Man film will arrive next year.
