This summer will see Spider-Man being recruited by Tony Stark in an all new miniseries to help with scientific innovation. Spider-Man is a perfect candidate, known for his love of science and his sharp mind. A perfect example would be that he built his own web shooters while still in high school. W.E.B of Spider-Man will feature Spider-Man getting into some trouble at Stark's latest scientific research station. Seeing as this is Spider-Man, who has a penchant for bad luck and falling into sticky situations, who knows what sort of unintentional havoc could occur that he'll have to fix before Tony finds out?

Stark's latest initiative is named the Worldwide Engineering Brigade or W.E.B for short...get it?Specifically established for teenage superheroes to foster new ideas and scientific innovation, Spider-Man will serve as Stark's latest recruit to the facility. This series promises to showcase other heroes in the Marvel Universe, as well as plenty of new gadgets that will supposedly be in development at the site.

W.E.B of Spider-Man will serve as a narrative tie-in for the actual W.E.B facility that will open at Disneyland's California Adventure this summer as well, a part of their new Avengers Campus. W.E.B will be a brand new ride featuring Spider-Man and his misadventures with some experimental new tech that get out of control, and fans will be along for the ride, shooting webs right alongside the hero. The new ride will feature brand new AR technology and all new stunt animatronics as well.

Spidey will also be getting an all new suit, exclusive to the ride experience and will be featured in the comic series. Current Spider-Man actor Tom Holland will be voicing the character on the ride as well. Seeing as how Holland will be the voice and the suit resembles a modified version of the suit seen in the latest films, there seems to be an implication that the miniseries and ride take place in a sort of MCU-adjacent universe, somewhat on its own, adopting the aesthetics of the MCU without effecting its overarching continuity. In any case, fans should enjoy learning more about Spider-Man and W.E.B before getting the chance to experience themselves on the ride this summer in W.E.B of Spider-Man. Here's the official solicitation from Marvel for the first issue:
