Leaked images of LEGO sets for Spider-Man: Far From Home confirm the identities for two of the film's villains, Hydro-Man and Molten Man. In the upcoming movie, the two villains will apparently be portrayed as elemental monsters.

Tom Holland returns as Peter Parker in Spider-Man: Far From Home, where the titular character's school trip to Europe will be interrupted by Samuel L. Jackson's Nick Fury, who recruits Spider-Man for an important mission. Spider-Man will need to team up with Mysterio, one of the wall-crawler's oldest comic book villains, to battle a powerful group called The Elementals.

As revealed by CBM, images of new LEGO sets for the upcoming movie reveal that Hydro-Man and Molten Man are among the Elementals encountered by Spider-Man and Mysterio. On one box, Spider-Man - appearing in his black suit - and Mysterio are battling a gigantic version of Molten Man with a gun attached to his hand. Another shows Mysterio and Peter facing off against a much smaller Hydro-Man.

The images confirm the fan theories that the two elemental monsters are in fact classic Spider-Man villains. In the comics, both are humans who received their powers in unrelated ways. Interestingly, Molten Man is the brother of one of Spider-Man's earliest love interests, Liz Allan. In Spider-Man: Homecoming, a shocking twist reveals that Liz Allan (Laura Harrier) is the daughter of the main villain of the movie, Vulture (Michael Keaton). Though Harrier may return as Liz in Far From Home, at this point there's no evidence to suggest the comic book connection between Molten Man and Liz will be translated to the big screen.

It appears that The Elementals, who were originally immortal villains with the powers of nature, are being replaced in Far From Home with characters associated with Spider-Man, which suggests that neither Hydro-Man nor Molten Man will retain their human identities and backstories from the comics. This development also raises questions about the identity of a third Elemental. It's been speculated that Sandman will also be in the movie. In the Spider-Man: Far From Home trailer, it was confirmed that Spider-Man will be fighting at least three Elementals, while there were a total of four in the comics. Thanks to the LEGO images, the identities of two of them are now confirmed, but the name of the third remains a mystery. However, his appearance does strongly resemble Sandman.

Hydro-Man, Molten Man, and possibly Sandman would join a long list of iconic Spider-Man villains to appear in the MCU. This list already includes Vulture, Shocker, Tinkerer, and Scorpion.
