Warning: MAJOR SPOILERS for Spider-Man: Far From Home ahead.

Tom Holland gets soaked while doing a stunt for Spider-Man: Far From Home. Marvel Studios officially wraps up their Phase 3 with the Jon Watts-directed flick. After Avengers: Endgame, the MCU turns to the friendly-neighborhood hero to tackle the aftermath of The Infinity Saga.

Grappling with the death of Tony Stark/Iron Man, Peter Parker goes on a much-needed trip to Europe. But things don't go according to plan after his vacation is hijacked by Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson), resulting in Spider-Man teaming up with Mysterio (Jake Gyllenhaal). Far From Home brings the hero out of his local neighborhood across the pond, and much of it was filmed on location. In a new set video, Holland celebrates the release of the movie with a BTS of himself shooting the movie in Venice.

Taking it to his official Instagram account, Holland posts a clip of himself while filming the action sequence of Far From Home in Venice. In the video, the actor gets blasted with water, a scene that made it into the film as Spider-Man and Mysterio battled the water Elemental. He likened the water coming in full force onto him like his latest project hitting cinemas. Watch it below:

This particular scene was actually filmed in the Venice canals, a couple of set videos made their way online while production was going on for Far From Home. And since it involved Peter seemingly going up against a water-based villain, fans were initially convinced that it's Hydro-Man. But while this was indeed based on the classic Spider-Man antagonist (as every other Elemental), it's eventually revealed that they're part of Mysterio's ruse to trick people in believing that he's indeed a hero.

It does look like it was a grueling day on the set for Holland while working on this specific action set piece. Fortunately, it looks fantastic in the actual film. However, the young actor isn't new to performing while being drenched in water. During his early years of acting, he starred in the 2012 disaster drama, The Impossible, alongside Ewan McGregor and Naomi Watts. The J.A. Bayona flick tackled the catastrophic 2004 Indian Ocean Tsunami from the perspective of an affected family on a holiday. Holland spent a bit of time submerged in water as his character tried to get him and his mother to safety.

Aside from the comparison Holland made with his BTS video and Spider-Man: Far From Home blasting into cinemas, it could also be used as an accurate depiction when it comes to the series of twists the film has. On top of the effective villain trick, the narrative also has a couple of massive information bombs at the end of the movie. First, Skrulls are back on Earth and Fury is working with them, and second, Peter's secret identity as the web-slinging hero gets exposed - both turn of events will have pivotal effects to the MCU moving forward.
