A new title card for Spider-Man: No Way Home has a glitchy effect reminiscent of one seen in Spider-Man: Into the Spider-VerseAs Marvel prepares to launch their 2021 theatrical slate with Black Widow on July 9, anticipation is heating up for the MCU's return to the big screen. Although exciting titles like Eternals and Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings will release in the coming months, none of them seem to be more anticipated than Tom Holland's third outing as Peter Parker.

Rumors have swirled around Spider-Man: No Way Home for months - many expect a Multiverse breaking adventure that will feature the return of Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield as their respective Spidey's. Although little has been confirmed about the film, Sony and Marvel have ramped up their promotional efforts in recent weeks ahead of what looks to be a release of Spider-Man: No Way Home's trailer sometime this summer. Before that, though, Sony couldn't resist teasing fans once again.

Sony Pictures Argentina released a brief video featuring the title card for Spider-Man: No Way Home, this time in video form. The nine-second clip features the familiar logo that fans have been dissecting since the film's title was announced - with one slight difference. At the end of the video, the title can be seen glitching and the effect is eerily similar to one deployed in Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse. Check out the clip below:

It's easy to forget that before all the talk of the MCU's Multiverse, a different Spider-Man already had one inter-dimensional adventure in the 2018 Academy Award winning animated film that featured fan-favorite character Miles Morales. In Into the Spider-Verse, Miles takes on the mantle of Spider-Man after the original hero's death and he eventually meets other people with similar abilities from different dimensions. Their appearance in Miles' world, though, is dangerous, for they risk dying from cellular decay if they stay in a dimension other than theirs for too long.

Interestingly, this cellular decay manifests as a glitch-like effect in the film, one that looks similar to the glitch in the video above. Fans are sure to quickly connect the dots and it definitely seems as if Sony and Marvel are really enjoying teasing fans about Spider-Man: No Way Home. The brief clip only adds more evidence to the ever-growing pile that fans could see a vast Multiverse adventure and the return of the two live-action Spider-Men. It's also sure to stoke further excitement about a trailer for Spider-Man: No Way Home, something just about everyone is eagerly waiting for ahead of the film's December release.
