The first look at Spider-Man: Homecoming 3 will reportedly arrive in December. Marvel Studios and Sony are working on a third solo film for Tom Holland's Spider-Man after coming to terms on a new deal to share the web-slinger. After announcing the movie with a July 2021 release date, the film has since been pushed back to December 2021 due to coronavirus. Even though there will be an extended wait for Spider-Man 3, interest in the film continues to be high as more information on it is revealed.

Fans were already curious how Spider-Man 3 would deal with the fallout of Spider-Man: Far From Home's ending, with hopes of Kraven being the villain and Daredevil being Peter Parker's lawyer to combat the reveal that he is Spider-Man. However, it appears the movie is shaping up to have a connection to the multiverse instead. Benedict Cumberbatch is going to appear as Doctor Strange, while Jamie Foxx is playing Electro after already portraying the villain in The Amazing Spider-Man 2. This has left fans even hungrier for news, and it sounds like the first look at the film will be here before too long.

A virtual version of ExpoCine - the largest movie event in Latin America - recently took place and included a presentation by Sony Pictures. Murphy's Multiverse was able to attend the convention and see what Sony showed exhibitors around the world. As part of the presentation, Camila Pacheco, the Executive Marketing Director of Sony Pictures Entertainment in Brazil, discussed Spider-Man 3. She confirmed that production is underway and revealed that the first look will come in December. Murphy's Multiverse reports that she used words like "preview" and "teaser trailer" to describe what is coming.

The first look at Spider-Man 3 arriving in December would be different from Marvel's usual marketing strategy, but there is some precedent for it. Sony debuted the first look at Spider-Man: Far From Home in December 2018 during CCXP, Brazil's annual Comic-Con. CCXP 2020 is slated to run from December 3rd to December 6th and could be where this first look at Spider-Man 3 drops. While the Far From Home trailer didn't release online right away, hopefully, a possible first look at Spider-Man 3 would be released worldwide.

Spider-Man 3 began doing some filming this week in New York, and the main portion of production is scheduled to begin sometime this fall. This should give Marvel and Sony a few weeks of material to assemble the first look at the highly-anticipated sequel. The first look could even be when the title for the movie is confirmed, although it's just as likely that Holland will "leak" it before then. In any case, it appears that fans can expect to see something from Spider-Man: Homecoming 3 before the year is up.
