A new fan poster for the MCU's Spider-Man 3 combines the villains of Andrew Garfield and Tom Holland's Spider-Man movies to create the Sinister Six. Tobey Maguire played the famous web-slinger in Sam Raimi's Spider-Man trilogy in the early 2000s before Sony decided to reboot the character in 2012 with Marc Webb's The Amazing Spider-Man. Much like Raimi's Spider-Man 4 was abandoned in favor of a reboot, Garfield was never able to return for The Amazing Spider-Man 3 and after the first sequel got negative reviews. While Garfield and Maguire's runs as Spider-Man were cut short, there are rumors that the two actors could appear in a live-action Spider-Verse movie with Tom Holland.

Sony has denied that Maguire and Garfield will reprise their characters, but rumors have continued anyway since Jamie Foxx is returning as Electro in Spider-Man 3. It's unknown if Foxx is playing the same Electro that appeared in 2014 or if this will be a different version of the character, but he has confirmed Electro won't be blue in the MCU sequel. With Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness and possible WandaVision delving into the Marvel multiverse concept, it's made people think of what other past Marvel movie villains could appear in Spider-Man 3.

Now, digital artist Zerologhy has given fans an idea of what a live-action Spider-Verse movie could look like with old villains making a comeback. The poster includes Vulture and Mysterio from Holland's films and Electro and Green Goblin from Garfield's movies. The artist also decided to include Jared Leto's Morbius at the top, and Doc Ock's arm from Marvel's Spider-Man video game at the bottom.

For the longest time, Kraven the Hunter was expected to be the main villain in Spider-Man 3. This would have made sense given the world discovering Peter Parker's identity at the end of Spider-Man: Far From Home and since Sony is developing a Kraven the Hunter movie with director J.C. Chandor. This poster interestingly leaves out the villains from Maguire's Spider-Man films, but many fans would enjoy seeing Willem Dafoe's Green Goblin or even Alfred Molina's Doc Ock join the MCU.

The exact plan for Sony Pictures Universe of Marvel Characters is unclear, but there have been signs that it is set in the same universe as the MCU or even a multiverse. Graffiti of Maguire's Spider-Man appeared in the Morbius trailer, as did Michael Keaton's Vulture, which has left fans wondering what Sony's plan is. As of right now, Electro is the only villain confirmed for Spider-Man 3, but at this point, it's not out of the realm of possibility that more Raimi or Webb Spider-Man villains could appear.
