A new piece of fan art shows Spider-Man clawing his way out of Venom. Venom is one of Spider-Man's most popular villains, with the character first appearing back in the '80s. Venom made his live-action debut in Sam Raimi's Spider-Man 3 in 2007, before he received a solo film in 2018 with Tom Hardy starring as Eddie Brock.

When Sony first announced Venom, fans started speculating how Spider-Man could be included in their Spider-Man villain universe. In the beginning, Kevin Feige and Sony's Amy Pascal denied the rumors that the MCU and Sony Pictures Universe of Marvel Characters would ever crossover, but things have changed in the past year. Last October, Venom director Ruben Fleischer confirmed that Tom Holland's Spider-Man and Venom will crossover at some point. It isn't known when this crossover will take place, but Sony and Disney will likely keep it a secret until fans see it on the big screen. Now, there is another piece of fan art that imagines what this crossover would look like.

A new piece of fan artwork from bosslogic shows Spider-Man trying to claw his way out of the symbiote's clutches. The second image in his post even shows Spider-Man with his Instant Kill Mode eyes as Venom devours him. Bosslogic's original Instagram post can be seen below:

While Venom and Spider-Man will likely meet one day, it seems as if the MCU as a whole may be connected to Sony's Spider-Man universe. The first trailer of Morbius included Michael Keaton's Vulture, which led many to believe that a Sinister Six storyline may be being set up. Before that though, Spider-Man and Venom are likely to cross paths whether that means Venom having a cameo in Spider-Man 3 or Spider-Man appearing in Venom: Let There Be CarnageEither way, it's only a matter of time before they meet.

Fans are dying to see Spidey go up against Venom, partly because it could lead to Spider-Man getting his black symbiote suit. The MCU already included the Iron Spider suit from the comics, but like all of Spidey's other suits in these movies, there were only certain elements pulled from the comics to keep the design looking fresh. There's been other fan art of what Spider-Man's black symbiote suit could look like, but this fan art is unique as it shows the gruesome take over of our friendly neighborhood Spider-Man.
