Holland is set to star alongside Chris Pratt in the upcoming Pixar animation Onward, which tells of two elf brothers, who attempt to spend one final day with their father after learning there is still magic in the world.  In anticipation of the film's March 6 release, we thought it was time to look at Holland's best movies to date. Though Holland is most commonly found in live-action hit, Onward isn't the only animated production in which you can find him. He formerly played a young MIT grad in this 2019 Blue Sky Studios animation.

Spies In Disguise tells of an expert spy named Lance (Will Smith) who uses his social skills to rise to the top. Holland's Walter isn't known for his fancy talk, but he is regarded for being smart; Therefore, he provides Lance with his gadgets.

After Walter accidentally turns Lance into a pigeon, the two must team up to make him human again.

In The Heart Of The Sea (6.9)

A young Holland appeared in this 2015 adventure-drama based on Nathaniel Philbrick's non-fiction book of the same name. It follows the sinking of the Essex whaling ship in the early 1800s that led to the writing of Herman Melville's Moby-Dick.

Though Chris Hemsworth stars as first mate Owen Chase and Benjamin Walker plays Captain George Pollard Jr., Tom Holland takes on the role of cabin boy Thomas Nickerson.

Locke tells of a man named Ivan (Tom Hardy) who abandons a construction site in order to make it to the premature birth of his child. This happens because of a one-night stand he had seven months prior.

As Ivan drives to London, he has phone conversations with several individuals including his sons Sean and Eddie, the latter of the two who is played by Holland.

Spider-Man: Homecoming (7.4)

Holland is perhaps best known for his portrayal of Spider-Man in the latest superhero series reboot.

In the first Spider-Man film, Homecoming, high school student Peter Parker struggles to balance his newfound spider-like abilities and his day-to-day teenage life. However, with Tony Stark as a mentor, he must do his best to track down Vulture and put an end to his sinister plans.

Spider-Man: Far From Home (7.5)

Holland jumped back onto the screen for this Spider-Man sequel in 2019.

This time around, in Spider-Man: Far From Home, Peter and his classmates take a trip to Europe. However, his relaxing vacation gets turned into a serious mission after Nick Fury shows up to warn Peter of the four elemental creatures that have ripped into the universe. It's up to Spider-Man & Mysterio to keep up his disguise and put an end to the chaos.

Holland will reprise his role as Peter Parker for a sequel set to debut in 2021.

The Secret World Of Arrietty (7.6)

Holland did the English voice-over of a 12-year-old boy in Studio Ghibli's The Secret World of Arrietty.

Based on the book The Borrowers by Mary Norton, this Japanese fairytale tells of a small girl (Saoirse Ronan) who lives under the floors and in the walls of a suburban household. After befriending Holland's Shō, however, her family's existence is put in jeopardy.

The Impossible (7.6)

This 2012 Spanish disaster film tells of María Belón and her family's terrifying attempt to survive the 2004 Indian Ocean tsunami. Though the Bennetts visit Thailand for a relaxing Christmas holiday, they are soon faced with an unexpected natural disaster they must avoid.

While Naomi Watts played the mother of the Bennett family and Ewan McGregor acted as her husband, Tom Holland took the role of their 12-year-old son.

Captain America: Civil War (7.8)

Before Holland was front-and-center in his own Spider-Man film, he took on Peter Parker as a supporting character in the Captain America series in 2016.

Captain America: Civil War has Steve Rogers and Tony Stark disagreeing about the government's role in superhero affairs. Though the argument starts small, it slowly builds until the supers are engaged in a serious battle against one another.

Peter joins forces with Tony Stark, with whom he develops a close relationship throughout the MCU .

Avengers: Infinity War (8.5)

In the third Avengers installment, the superheroes team together to stop their biggest enemy yet: Thanos. In order to stop the villain from eliminating half of all life on earth, the team is forced to rescue the six Infinity Stones before he can.

After Ebony Maw attempts to capture the Time Stone, Peter Parker and Tony Stark sneak onto his spaceship. They eventually kill him in order to rescue Dr. Strange. Unfortunately, their efforts in combination with those of the rest of the Avengers aren't enough to stop the doomed fate they were hoping to escape.

Avengers: Endgame (8.5)

Topping off the list as Holland's highest-rated film to date is the conclusion to the Avengers series. In Endgame, the team decides to venture back in time in an attempt to reverse the destruction Thanos let loose on earth. Changing fate, however, doesn't come without its consequences.

Though Peter Parker is missing for most of the film (he turned into dust during the previous installment), the hero reemerges by the end for the final battle and sees his mentor Tony Stark die in front of his eyes. At least he got the hug he wanted in Homecoming.
