Insomniac Games has released a list of achievements for the upcoming Spider-Man: Miles Morales, spoiling a few in-game events in the process. The web-slinging sequel is one of the most hotly anticipated launch titles for the PlayStation 5, but despite being one of Sony's flagship titles, it won't be a true exclusive. The game will also be releasing on PlayStation 4 to give current-gen players who can't afford the upgrade a chance to continue the story of Insomniac's iconic 2018 Spider-Man game.

Insomniac Games has been spending the final months leading up to the PS5's release teasing out more and more details about the new game to get fans interested. One of the most exciting features of the game is Spider-Man the cat, a feline companion that occasionally assists Miles in beating up criminals. In addition to this secondary Spider-Man, who's sure to go down in history as the most beloved character in the game, Insomniac has been showing off costumes, alternate game covers, and, of course, gameplay.

Insomniac's most recent reveal was posted on its Twitter page earlier today, and it consists of a lengthy list of achievements that players can unlock in the game. The company has revealed both the names of each achievement and a description of how to unlock it in-game, which gives fans a small taste of what's to come. Several of the tasks correspond to raw gameplay achievements, such as achieving a 100x combo in battle or unlocking all skills. There are also quite a few that relate to the previously revealed boss fight against the Rhino, particularly a segment where Miles rides the giant supervillain through a mall. There's also an achievement for keeping the bridge together, as shown in the PS5 showcase back in September. One particularly enigmatic achievement, I'm On A Boat, requires Miles to "ride the derelict boat in southern Chinatown." Whether this boat is part of a mission, or simply something to be found in the overworld, remains to be seen. Check out the list below.

Insomniac did specify that this is only a partial list, one the company has surely curated very carefully. Any story spoilers that can be gleaned from this list are ones that Insomniac is perfectly comfortable with fans knowing beforehand. Content related to the endgame will definitely be kept under lock and key until the end of the game, but there are still plenty of interesting details to be gleaned. For instance, one achievement will be unlocked when Miles visits his father's grave, which is certain to be a very emotional moment.

Spider-Man: Miles Morales is sure to be a sizable jewel in the PS5's crown when it launches next month. It's almost a shame that it's releasing for PS4 too, since the new console's launch library is remarkably bereft of titles. These achievements highlight just a slice of the delightful gameplay fans will have to look forward to when Spider-Man: Miles Morales releases next month.
