Miles Morales and Gwen Stacey join the MCU in this live-action Spider-Verse fan poster. While the MCU so far has stuck to the most well-known Spider-Man - Peter Parker - for its adventures, Sony's growing Spider-Verse found an inventive way to explore other comic book iterations of the popular superhero. With Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, numerous different Spider-People were brought together within the same universe, including an alternate Peter (Jake Johnson). Spider-Verse was led by Miles (Shameik Moore), a young teen who gets bit by a radioactive spider and soon discovers he isn't the only one to experience that origin story.

Into the Spider-Verse was a massive success back in 2018, earning near-universal praise from fans and critics because of its inventive animation style and story. A sequel is currently in the works, with production having begun back in June. Plot details are still scarce, but there's a chance Cindy Moon, AKA Silk, will be included in the action. Right now, Into the Spider-Verse 2 is set for release in October 2022 after being delayed by five months. Producer Chris Miller has already begun hyping up the sequel's animation, which reportedly is even more dazzling than the first.

The concept of the Spider-Verse has inspired fans who wish to see all the Spider-People in film come together somehow. This latest poster comes from Camille Vialet and imagines a Spider-Verse film set within the MCU. That means that Tom Holland's Peter Parker can be spotted alongside Miles and Gwen, along with a whole host of Spider-Men. You can see it in the space below.

The MCU does have another Spider-Man film focusing on Holland's Peter in development. It was recently delayed from November 2021 to December 2021, with production tentatively expected to begin this fall. Plot details are still being kept under wraps, though it will presumably pick up on where the previous film, Spider-Man: Far From Home, left off, with Peter's identity being exposed to the world.

The hope among many is that Miles will be introduced into the MCU sometime in the future. His existence was already hinted at in Spider-Man: Homecoming through Donald Glover's character Aaron, so there's a good chance he could arrive when it's time for Peter to make his exit. Regardless, though, his story will continue in animated form through Into the Spider-Verse 2. Additionally, there were once plans for spin-off led by Gwen, but Steinfeld said in June she isn't sure if that's still happening. Only time will tell how the Spider-Verse continues to expand and develop on the big screen.
