A Black Lives Matter Mural can be found in the streets of Spider-Man: Miles Morales. This guide will show where players can find it and how to unlock it. While Peter Parker is the original Queens-born web-slinger, Miles Morales takes the mantle in his own video game this time around. While Peter is away on a trip to Europe, it is up to Miles to protect New York City from any threats of danger. One of the challenges faced by Insomniac Games, the developers behind Spider-Man PS4 and Spider-Man: Miles Morales is to develop a convincing take on New York City. One of the most expressive locations in the world with over 8 million citizens of every race and gender. Black Lives Matter has been a critical movement from within New York City. Here's where players can find and unlock a mural to celebrate it.

Black Lives Matter has been and will always be about the treatment of Black Lives under police and government eyes. While the movement has been around for years, it has recently exploded in momentum with the death of George Floyd, a black man that was killed by four police officers, earlier this year. Protestors took to the streets, demanding the police are defunded and the money be reinvested back into the community and focus more and social work programs rather than officers themselves. Millions rallied around this cause all around the world as Black Lives Matter resonated with so many individuals. New York City is a location with a long history of police brutality. Here's where players can find the Black Lives Matter mural in Spider-Man: Miles Morales.

The mural itself actually needs to be unlocked by completing a set amount of sidequests. Players will need to complete all App Activities and Crimes to gain access to the Uptown Pride Suit. This suit has a vibrant yellow and black color to it and it will be rewarded to Miles by the people of Harlem. Once the player unlocks the suit, a small cutscene will play showing off the suit and displaying the Black Lives Matter mural in the background of the cutscene. Here, players can take pictures and gawk at this beautiful mural.

Miles is an essential centerpiece and reflection of the identity of the city. While his father is a police officer, Miles is constantly pushed to do the right thing at every possible turn. While they do clash, both fundamentally want to do the right thing by their city. The plot itself doesn't focus much on police reform or how the Black Lives Matter movement has affected the city, but this mural is appropriate for the setting it takes place in. As the mural itself states, Black lives will always matter.
