Spider-Man: Miles Morales features Rhino as the primary classic villain that Miles faces during the game. Normally battling, Peter Parker, Rhino is an incredibly powerful opponent that can’t be stopped through traditional means. On a good day, he takes Spider-Man quite a while to take down.

During Miles’ first encounter with the unstoppable beast of a man, Miles is simply helping Peter out while he does the heavy lifting. During the second encounter, Miles has to fight Rhino with only the reluctant aid of the leader of the Underground, The Tinkerer. This fight can be rather daunting for players who are still getting used to the flow of combat. Here’s how to beat The Rhino’s second encounter in Spider-Man: Miles Morales.

How To Beat The Rhino In Spider-Man: Miles Morales

As always, Rhino is not someone that players will want to get too close to if they can help it. Rhino will spend the bulk of the fight charging through the arena attempting to ram Miles. Unlike in the last encounter, Rhino can’t be easily blasted because his new armor blocks all oncoming Venom attacks. The trick here is to keep to a safe distance until an opening can be made, by breaking off Rhino’s armor. To begin, Rhino will charge at Miles. Dodging at the right time will cause Miles to web Rhino’s back and climb on top of him. Lead Rhino into one of the many tanks that are on display in the arena to stun him. Players will then get some time to attack Rhino and knock off some of his armor.

After a few rounds of this, Rhino will pick up one of the tanks and throw it at Miles. Use this opportunity to find one of the tank’s engines and charge it Venom before throwing it back at Rhino. This will once again stun him and knock off some armor. This should happen 1 to 2 times before the next phase of the fight. As the fight progresses, Rhino will become increasingly aggressive. Avoiding his attacks will be crucial, as well as avoiding the attacks from the soldiers in the room fighting The Tinkerer. Once Rhino’s armor is stripped, the player will need to hit him with charged venom attacks before striking.

The trouble with this final phase is avoiding the multitude of attacks coming from all sides. Rhino will rely heavily on throwing chunks of the floor during this phase. If hit, the player will suffer damage and will not be able to use their Venom power for a while. This same result can occur when getting trapped by the soldiers. Healing during this phase will especially be a problem because healing requires Venom energy. The trick is to stay out of trouble as much as possible and get as many sneak attacks on the soldiers as possible to charge up the venom attacks. A few Venom strikes on Rhino will be all it takes to bring him down.
