Everyone's favorite web-slinger, Spider-Man, is one of the most popular superhero characters of all time and throughout time there have been several versions of the character. While some have gone down really well, others have been met with mixed results. No matter what the opinion is on each individual Spider-Man, all of the movies feature some fantastic fight scenes. However, what really makes or break a Spidey movie is the movie's final fight.

The final fights are what audiences have been patiently waiting for, since it's this climactic moment that the everything beforehand has been building up to. These are the fight scenes that fans always remember -for better and for worse. From the original Sam Raimi trilogy all the way to the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), here are all of the Spider-Man movies' final fights ranked, from worst to best.

Spider-Man Vs. The Lizard (The Amazing Spider-Man)

Overall, The Amazing Spider-Man was a really strong movie but the final battle just didn't quite connect. The battle just wasn't anything special or memorable, and that's why it falls to the bottom. Spider-Man teaming up with a police officer isn't something anyone really wants to see, and it didn't help add anything to this already bland brawl.

The darkness of every almost every shot wasn't great, and freezing the Lizard just so that he could be properly shot at felt lazy and lame - especially given how creative and crazy the Spider-Man comics can get. This final fight could and should have been a lot more than it was.

Spider-Man Vs. Doc Ock (Spider-Man 2)

Spider-Man 2 is arguably the best of all the Spider-Man movies so for a lot of people, its low placing here might seem unfair. However, while Doc Ock proves to be an amazing and compellingly tragic villain, his final fight just isn't that good.

This should have been a lengthy battle where they go back and forth, perhaps with Spider-Man trying to nullify some of his arms. Instead, there's very little action and more focus on the psychological and mental aspects with some amazing dialogue sprinkled here and there. While it might be great for drama, it's just a shame that the fight between Spider-Man and Doc Ock doesn't measure up.

Spider-Man Vs. Electro & Green Goblin (The Amazing Spider-Man 2)

This really is a tale of two completely different fight scenes and unfortunately, one really drags the other down. On one hand, there is the horrendous fight between Spider-Man and Electro which really wasn't fun. It was hard to take this duel seriously, especially with the weird creative decision to have dubstep music bounce off whenever Electro's powers hit something.

But on the flip side, the fight between Spider-Man and Green Goblin was incredible since it actually leads to the death of Gwen Stacy. It's arguably the most shocking moment of all the entries here and it is incredibly emotional, yet it is ruined by the preceding undercard bout.

Spider-Man Vs. The Vulture (Spider-Man: Homecoming)

The first time Spider-Man got his big final MCU fight was a fairly big deal, and it's fair to say the MCU did a terrific job with the story throughout this one. However, it wasn't the strongest final fight, nor was it the weakest. While the tension between the two characters was certainly there, the actual fight wasn't as entertaining as it should have been.

It's more about the emotions and the underlying story that they're both aware of as opposed to cool moves, flips and weapons. Spider-Man also isn't the reason that Vulture gets beaten, since Tooms just breaks his suit after trying to fly off with some stolen goods.

Spider-Man Vs. Mysterio (Spider-Man: Far From Home)

The final fight of Spider-Man: Far From Home is one that some loved and others didn't. The revelation that Mysterio's battles with the Elementals were just drone projections was certainly inspired and unique, but it also felt a little flat since this twist all but reveals that there were no stakes to speak of before the final clash. That, and some comic fans felt that the likes of Hydro-Man and Sandman were wasted.

However, things really got interesting when Spider-Man got down to dealing with Mysterio's tricks in person. There are some unforgettable visual effect sequences here and their final clash over London does a huge scale overall, which certainly helps its case.

Spider-Man Vs. Green Goblin (Spider-Man)

This was the first big final battle that was put onto the silver screen for Spider-Man and, on the whole, it certainly delivered. While it might not be as flashy as the later films, the fact it isn't heavy on the CGI actually helps this fight have a little more realism.

While it is much smaller in scale than the others, the emotions and story between the two characters can really be felt in this fight more so than any other. With MJ's life in the balance as well, there are some great personal stakes that really add to the situation here.

Spider-Man Vs. Venom (Spider-Man 3)

People may not have enjoyed this movie much but when it comes to just the final fight scenes, it is certainly one of the best. Getting to actually see Spider-Man battle against Venom alone provides a stunning visual, and the mental aspect that Peter Parker is dealing with also makes this fun.

It's one of the longest battles that he has to go through and it really was amazingly shot. There's some brilliant action throughout this one and while the movie overall might be weak, this moment is great. Throw in the Sandman and Harry Osborn, and there are tons going on, which makes it really enjoyable.

Spider-Men Vs. Kingpin & Others (Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse)

Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse absolutely blew away all the expectations that people had for this film as it ended up becoming one of the greatest superhero and animation films of all time. The storyline was amazing plus the animation style and the pop of the colors were breathtaking. This was never clearer than with the final battle.

Audiences were gripped to this from the start of this clash, as it brought every different version of Spider-Man face to face with Kingpin and his henchmen. Even better is the fact that reality itself was at stake! All of these made Into The Spider-Verse's final act tons of fun, which is what these types of films should be.
