In just a few months, we'll finally get the proper debut of Peter Parker in the MCU when Spider-Man: Homecoming lands in theaters. After stealing the show in Captain America: Civil War, fans are anxious to see the character back to his roots as a nerdy high school student and budding crime-fighter. Though he'll be joined by Iron Man and the specter of the Avengers will hang over the film, the movie will offer a chance for Tom Holland to bring the core aspects of Peter Parker to life. Not to mention all of the exciting action scenes that can only occur in a movie featuring the web-slinger.
Thanks to the film's imminent arrival, the marketing has been ramping up over the past few weeks. While Marvel is mostly focused on May's Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, they and Sony are also keen to get the word out about their definitive statement on Spidey. We recently saw a brand new figure from Hot Toys showing of Peter's homemade costume from the movie, ensuring it will play into the film along with his new suit from Tony Stark. Yesterday also saw the release of two new posters for the film, teasing Peter's dual role as a student and the protector of New York.
Now, Marvel have released a third poster, highlighting Spider-Man's home of Queens. Check it out below:
The new posters have certainly had the Internet buzzing, proving just how popular Spidey is and how much his new film is anticipated. And if all three of these new posters weren't enough, it looks like we've got more content in our future. Sony Pictures France posted a video of Tom Holland thanking fans for their enthusiasm regarding the new posters, and he made sure to note that the marketing wasn't stopping there.

Considering the marketing push that's likely to come for the film, and the news these posters are generating, it's entirely possible they're setting us up for something big. Considering the last Spidey trailer came in December, we're due for another one given the film's July release. It's likely these poster reveals are leading up to the release of a new trailer for the film. Then again, it could be another announcement entirely.
One possibility is a proper look at Shocker. Thanks to a toy leak, we officially know he'll be in the film after what's felt like years of rumors. A new image, poster, or even teaser, however, could finally give us a proper look at how the Spidey rogue will appear in the MCU. Then there's the recently announced Venom movie. It's unclear how connected it will be to this summer's film or the MCU, but perhaps we'll get some sort of clarification on the matter soon. It's clear that any news surrounding Spider-Man: Homecoming is going to take social media by storm, so we'll keep you updated either way.
