Spider-Man: Homecoming concept art includes a comics-accurate design for the Iron Spider suit. The Marvel Cinematic Universe's Spider-Man has largely operated with the help of Tony Stark's technologically advanced suits. Tom Holland's version of Peter Parker may have crafted a suit during his early days, but Stark gave him a better one during Captain America: Civil War. Even though Stark took it away during the Spider-Man solo movie, Stark was impressed enough by the young hero that he built Peter another brand new suit.

The ending for Homecoming teased Spider-Man's new costume he'd wear in Avengers: Infinity War. The suit is the MCU's version of the Iron Spider suit, although it is very different from what the suit looks like in the comics. Thanks to some new concept art from Homecoming, we now get a glimpse at what a comics-accurate Iron Spider suit could've looked like.

Concept artist Ed Natividad's profile on his website now includes a look at an Iron Spider design done for Spider-Man: Homecoming's ending. The presentation of the new threads is a bit different in this art, but it still offers a look at the red and gold design.

Spider-Man first took on the Iron Spider suit in Marvel Comics in 2006's The Amazing Spider-Man #529. He eventually ditched the Stark-made suit once he switched sides in Civil War from being with Tony to turning against him and siding with Captain America. The suit has since been worn by other people, including Mary Jane Watson and Miles Morales' uncle Aaron Davis. While ripping the costume straight from the page could've worked for the MCU, it's understandable why they went in a different direction. The MCU's version of Iron Spider combines the previous Spider-Man costume with the colors and appendages that make the Iron Spider costume stand out.

Since it is unlikely that the MCU will ever further update the Iron Spider suit to match the comics, this concept art is probably the closest fans will get to seeing it. We don't even know if Peter Parker will continue to wear his Iron Spider suit after Avengers 4. There's yet to be any indication as to what costume he's wearing in Spider-Man: Far From Home, and that may not change if the suit is completely CGI. While Marvel did a mixture of practical with CGI enhancements for Civil War and Homecoming, Holland was in a mo-cap suit for all of Infinity War. Set videos from Far From Home appear to have him in a mo-cap suit again. This could point to the Iron Spider suit carrying over or allow for the studio to debut a new suit whenever they please.
