The Untitled Spider-Man: Homecoming Sequel working title reveals another reference to Seinfeld. Marvel Studios and Sony's partnership is already off to a great start after Spider-Man: Homecoming, which is currently the biggest superhero movie of the year. Thanks to this, it is far from a surprise a sequel is currently in development. Tom Holland will return as the friendly neighborhood Spider-Man once again - but this time his world will be much different, as the sequel picks up minutes after Avengers 4.

Holland isn't the only one returning for the sequel, with Kevin Feige officially confirming Jon Watts will direct again. Many of Peter's classmates are expected to return as well, but they've yet to be confirmed. Instead, the possible inclusion of Gwen Stacy has been the talking point. But, if casting is underway for that role, pre-production is moving along nicely, and the sequel now has a working title.

Omega Underground revealed the working title for Spider-Man: Homecoming 2 to be "Fall of George." This follows in the footsteps of Homecoming having a working title of "Summer of George," a reference to Seinfeld. While the latter is an actual episode from the hit comedy, the sequel's working title is not.

Tom Holland as Spider-Man in Spider-Man Homecoming

Continuing to send love to Seinfeld isn't terribly surprising, but it does make this a less revealing working title than some other blockbusters'. It could be an indication that the movie takes place in the fall and the beginning of the new semester. But, the title could simply come as it is the next season and thus a logical choice. If we take the weather meaning away however, it could be an indicator that things will be tougher for Peter in the sequel. The sequel could turn Peter's world upside down and have him on the verge of defeat, hence his fall from being a hero.

Any plot points for the sequel are not yet known thanks to the early stages of the project. The introduction of Gwen could be a major part of the film, but a decision that comes with baggage. Audiences witnessed the death of Gwen Stacy just a few years ago, and while that happened in another iteration, it is still fresh. Homecoming just introduced a new version of MJ with Zendaya's Michelle, so Gwen's inclusion could muddy the story further. But, if the film is interested in making Peter's life more difficult, adding in Gwen could do just that. Until more details on the sequel emerge, it won't be clear what the working title could actually be teasing - if anything at all.
