Insomniac has confirmed the Marvel's Spider-Man move that is featured in Spider-Man: No Way Home. Spider-Man is a character that is incredibly inventive with his movement, both when traversing the city and in combat. There are a lot of signature moves, such as his iconic pose when he lands on the ground, slingshotting himself up walls with his webs, and more. But No Way Home pulled one specific move from Marvel's Spider-Man.

Leading up to the film's release, Tom Holland confirmed Marvel's Spider-Man inspired No Way Home via one of the specific moves. Fans have been speculating on what it could be and even after the movie has released, there has been some debate over which one it actually is. Given how much is going on in Spider-Man: No Way Home, those little details are easy to miss, but Insomniac Games seems to know which one it is.

The developer took to Twitter to tweet out a gif from the opening mission of Marvel's Spider-Man where the wall-crawler fights Kingpin. At the end of their battle, Spider-Man uses his webs to slingshot himself into Kingpin and essentially drive him through the floor of the building. It's a pretty intense move and one that would likely kill any ordinary human, which seems to be why Spider-Man: No Way Home used it. In case there was any doubt that this is the move Holland referenced, Insomniac community director James Stevenson also tweeted "IYKYK" which means "If you know, you know" in response to the gif.

Given Insomniac helped promote No Way Home with new in-game suits, it's possible the team at Marvel let them know they were borrowing this action beat. For those that have seen the film, the moment happens toward the middle of the movie. After Peter brings all of the villains to Happy Hogan's apartment to try and cure them, Norman Osborn betrays him and gives Peter a brutal beatdown. The two end up out on the balcony of an apartment and as Osborn is lying on the ground, Peter uses this rather violent move to push him down to another floor of the building.

It wouldn't be surprising if there are some other nods to Marvel's Spider-Man in Spider-Man: No Way Home, either. Tom Holland and Zendaya have both played Marvel's Spider-Man and some of the crew have probably also played through Insomniac's acclaimed PS4 game. Spider-Man: Far From Home also seemed to pay tribute to the game at the end of the film as Spider-Man takes a selfie while swinging around the city, a prominent feature in the game. Nonetheless, Insomniac has created something that has inspired the titans at Marvel Studios, which must have members of the studio feeling good.
