The first trailer for Spider-Man: Far From Home debuted today at Brazil's CCXP, and while it hasn't yet turned up online, descriptions of the trailer have begun appearing across social media. It's said the trailer avoids mentioning the fallout from Avengers: Infinity War and instead keeps the focus on Spider-Man's world, ending on a reveal of the costume for Jake Gyllenhaal's Mysterio.

Tom Holland's Spider-Man is the first Spidey to be shared between Sony and Marvel Studios, allowing his character to exist as a part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe and headline Sony's Spider-Man franchise. After being recruited by Tony Stark in Captain America: Civil War, this Peter Parker went on to get his first solo film with Spider-Man: Homecoming, skipping most of the usual origin story beats. From there, Holland's Spider-Man again teamed up with Iron Man and the Avengers in Infinity War, sadly becoming one of the many victims of Thanos' snap.

Homecoming's sequel, however, is set after the events of Avengers: Endgame, and in order to avoid spoiling that film - and specifically, how Peter Parker is alive again - its trailer doesn't touch on anything related to Endgame or Thanos. Instead, it sounds as if the Spider-Man: Far From Home trailer sticks to all things Spider-Man, not only teasing Mysterio but also hinting at the budding romance between Peter Parker and Michelle "MJ" Jones.

Along with those tweets, Collider's Steve Weintraub (who was at the CCXP panel) shared even more details about the Far From Home trailer. He describes it as having the same light-hearted, funny tone as Spider-Man: Homecoming and that the trailer even implies a little flirting between Aunt May and Happy Hogan, which leaves Peter stunned and a little disgusted. Weintraub goes on say that the trailer does reveal Gyllenhaal in his full Mysterio costume minus the helmet, adding that it looks exactly as fans would want it to look. The set-up for the film's tagline, Far From Home, is also mentioned, with the trailer explaining that Peter and his classmates leave for Europe on a school trip.

The trailer makes a point of showing that Peter chooses not to bring his Spider-Man suit with him on this trip - a decision he's sure to regret. But rather than being forced to work without it or fashion a new suit from his hotel sheets, the trailer shows Nick Fury paying Peter a visit. We can assume that Fury brings the kid a spare suit - possibly even this stealth suit - since it appears he needs Spider-Man's help, probably with something Mysterio-related.

Spider-Man: Far From Home releases just a few months after Avengers: Endgame, and considering that Marvel has already begun rolling out trailers for Endgame (and Captain Marvel), the trailer for Far From Home can't be that far behind. Stay tuned to Screen Rant and we'll notify you the moment the Spider-Man: Far From Home trailer drops online!
