Phase 4 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe could be set up in Spider-Man: Far From Home in these 10 ways. Previously thought to be the beginning of the next Phase of stories, Marvel Studios chief Kevin Feige has revealed that the Tom Holland starring sequel to Spider-Man: Homecoming will instead close out Phase 3. The film's close ties to the ending of Avengers: Endgame has helped fans make sense of this change, but has also left all of Marvel's Phase 4 plans unconfirmed.

A variety of reports have still given us a decent understanding of what Marvel is planning to do next, but the current focus is on Spider-Man: Far From Home. The trailers have teased Peter Parker's overseas adventures with Nick Fury and Mysterio, but also have details that have left fans theorizing about what the movie could mean for the future of the MCU.

In a brand new video from Screen Rant, we take a look at 10 different ways that Spider-Man: Far From Home could set up Phase 4 of the MCU. Some of these possibilities are based on what we know about the movie, while others are pure pieces of speculation, such as a reference to The Eternals movie led by Angelina Jolie. Regardless, check out the video at the top of the post to hear about the other ways the sequel can set up the MCU's future.

Tom Holland as Spider-Man

With the people in the MCU wondering if Spider-Man will become the next Iron Man-type hero, one way that Marvel Studios could solidify him in this position would be by duplicating the ending of Iron Man. The sequel could include the major moment when Peter Parker reveals to the world that he is Spider-Man, which could become more likely since MJ is now the latest in a growing list of people to know of Peter's other life. Secret identity or not, Peter could also be in need of a new mentor figure moving forward and Nick Fury, Professor Hulk, or Captain Marvel could all be called upon to take the friendly neighborhood hero under their wing.

In the bigger picture, Spider-Man: Far From Home could also be responsible for setting up major storylines for the MCU in Phase 4 and beyond. The multiverse opens up an incredible amount of opportunities for them, but there are also plenty of Spider-Man focused opportunities that could be set up. Another tease of Sinister Six could come in the film, while Miles Morales' introduction could even be more likely now, as he could be one of the survivors of the snap and lived through the five-year jump in the timeline. However it plays out, Spider-Man: Far From Home has plenty of chances to tease fans with what else can come in Phase 4 of the MCU and beyond.
