Spider-Man: Far From Home images reveal Peter Parker (Tom Holland) back in school wearing his old Spider-Man: Homecoming suit. The first of the two armors gifted to him by his mentor, Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.), the young hero had been using the same costume for two years in-between the events of Captain America: Civil War and Avengers: Infinity War. He eventually switched to the Iron-Spider suit in Avengers 3 as he ventured to Titan with Iron Man and Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) in the hopes of defeating Thanos (Josh Brolin). However, while his latest costume boasts a more technologically-advanced mechanism, it appears as Peter will eventually return to his former armor as seen in these new photos.
Set to launch MCU's mysterious Phase 4, Far From Home directed by Jon Watts will continue the young hero's journey following his tragic fate in Infinity War. It's still unclear how he and the rest of half of the universe will be brought back after they were snuffed out of existence due to Thanos' snap - something that Avengers: Endgame will answer. One thing's for sure right now, Peter will be back being the friendly neighborhood Spider-Man once the current debacle surrounding Thanos is resolved.
A batch of images from Far From Home made their way online thanks to Spanish fan site StripMarvel.com (via CBR) including a couple of Peter wearing his Homecoming suit in his high school. The photos are from an unfinished workprint of the film, which explains the blue screen behind another photo from the set featuring Zendaya's Michelle Jones and the wall-crawling hero. Not much can be deciphered from the snaps, but they sure are keeping fans talking about the upcoming sequel.
Fans have seen photos of Spider-Man and MJ swinging in New York thanks to set images that made their way online back in October. What poses more questions is the twin snap featuring Peter in his high school wearing his old Spider-Man suit. It's clear that the web-slinging hero will be reverting back to his old Homecoming costume sometime during the follow-up film, ditching the nano-tech Iron-Spider suit he was donning in Infinity War, but the question remains as to why. Considering that he's an official Avenger now after Stark knighted him on their way to Titan, it makes very little sense that he'd opt to use his former armor following his experience in Titan, not to mention the slew of bad guys he will supposedly face in Far From Home like Vulture, Hydro-Man, Molten Man, and Mysterio (Jake Gyllenhaal).
One wonders where exactly the aforementioned scene fits in the movie. Far From Home will take Peter on a global adventure as he and his friends make their way around Europe for a trip. That means that a significant chunk of the movie will be set in various European cities - which they shot on location for. There's a possibility that Peter wears his old suit at the beginning of the flick, and eventually switches to the stealth suit that Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson) may have provided him.
At this point, it's still difficult to predict what exactly will go down in Spider-Man: Far From Home. A couple of narrative details have been released thanks to the cast's appearance at last week's Comic-Con Experience in Brazil, but there's still so much to learn about the film. Chances are that the public won't really know much more than what's already been confirmed anytime soon, considering that a lot of what happens in the movie hinges on what takes place in Avengers: Endgame.
