The sequel Spider-Man: Far From Home can't come fast enough, which means it's time once again for Marvel to prepare their fans with a trip into the past: in the form of their Spider-Man: Far From Home Prelude comic book.

As the name implies, the prelude is reminding fans of the it beneath the Spider-Man mask. Even though he's now had more than one adventure with Tony Stark, Peter Parker is still just a kid more comfortable helping little old ladies than taking on cosmic catastrophes. We've got an exclusive preview of Spider-Man: Far From Home Prelude #1, recapping the events of his Homecoming solo film.

The prelude issues from Marvel Comics have helped to expand the story beyond what is shown in the film, especially if a small detail or point of clarification can help to answer questions for movie fans. In the case of their Spider-Man Prelude, it's Peter's time being a friendly neighborhood superhero that's being put back in the spotlight.

It will be a welcome change to look back to the beginnings of Homecoming, considering how much time Marvel fans have spent looking forward to Avengers: Endgame and the MCU beyond. Not to mention spinning early theories to explain how Jake Gyllenhaal's new villain Mysterio doesn't seem like a villain at all. It's clear that Spider-Man: Far From Home will be starting a new chapter in Peter Parker's life, hopefully more than earning a direct phone line to Tony Stark. Happy Hogan is great and all, but... Peter's an Avengers now, right?

We doubt that Marvel will let any hints of Far From Home's villains, or connection to Avengers: Endgame slip. But that won't stop fans from spinning their own theories about Spider-Man's unique link to Thanos. At least, not until they've got another solo movie to focus on. In the meantime, read on for the full synopsis and details below:
