New Spider-Man: Far From Home artwork may have revealed the first full look at Mysterio. Finally confirmed to be played by Jake Gyllenhaal a couple of weeks ago, the classic Marvel villain will be Peter Parker's (Tom Holland) main adversary in his next solo adventure. He'll join a slew of bad guys in the film such as like the returning VultureHydro-Man, Chameleon and even Molten Man.

Set after the events of Avengers: Endgame, Far From Home will be the first film installment from MCU's still-mysterious Phase 4. Since a lot of its narrative hinges on what happens in Endgame, plot details regarding Far From Home are still being tightly-kept under wraps. However, it's been confirmed that it will bring Peter on an international trip with his friends around Europe where he's set to meet brand new enemies. With Both Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson) and Maria Hill (Colbie Smulders) confirmed to appear, the young hero and Mysterio are said to work under the tutelage of the former before things get ugly between the two of them.

A snap of Far From Home's special feature in Empire Magazine (via Daniel Richtman) offers fans a closer look at what could be Mysterio's final look it the film. The artwork created by Bill McConkey implies that the villain will don a comic book-accurate get-up despite the fact that the illustration noticeably lacks his helmet. Meanwhile, a fan with the Twitter handle ShavedSheev_ took it upon himself to add Mysterio's iconic fishbowl helmet in the image. And while set photos in Europe didn't clearly reveal the villain's headset, a special Dr. Pepper tie-in seemingly reveals that Gyllenhaal will don the complete get-up.

Based on comments from the cast, Mysterio won't be the usual one-dimensional bad guy that fans are used to. He will actually have good intentions as he works with Peter to defeat Elemental monsters. It's curious what will ultimately force him to antagonize Spider-Man. If Marvel Studios and Sony are able to pull this subplot, the web-slinging hero's standalone films will continue its trend of coming up with some of the most interesting and compelling villains that started with the Vulture in Spider-Man: Homecoming.

With a couple of unofficial looks at Mysterio, it's curious if Sony is already looking to release at least an official look at the character. Rumors have been swirling around that the trailer for the film is already at the docket, but until now it's yet to debut. The latest update claims that it might go live sometime today, but that is still unconfirmed. At this point, it's probably for the best for the studio to just roll out any marketing material for Spider-Man: Far From Home considering the plethora of set photos and videos, not to mention magazine images like this one and event-exclusive trailer shown at Comic-Con Experience 2018 in Brazil earlier this month.
