Tom Holland jokes that he's getting a new haircut, Spider-Man: Homecoming 3, after his hair and makeup team's equipment fails in the set video. Holland is currently filming his much-anticipated third solo outing as Spider-Man in Atlanta, along with fellow returning cast members Zendaya and Jacob Batalon. The movie has been shooting for the last month or so, with the various cast members slowly making their way down to Georgia, which has become the Marvel Cinematic Universe's home base over the past few years, during October. There's even been a sneak peek at the film thanks to a set video, teasing a stunt involving Peter and MJ.

Spider-Man: Homecoming 3 is expected to introduce the multiverse to the MCU, a fact seemingly confirmed when Jamie Foxx was cast to reprise the role of Electro, which he played in Andrew Garfield's duo of Amazing Spider-Man movies. Just how much the multiverse will be involved in the plot remains to be seen. Still, fans hope it will open the door to other cinematic versions of the character appearing alongside Parker's Spider-Man, either in this movie or further down the line. For now, though, Holland's version is the only confirmed Spider-Man appearing, though it may be with a surprising new look.

Holland, who posts behind-the-scene snippets from set fairly regularly, though never actually revealing anything despite his reputation for spoilers, today posted a video on his stories (via Fandom) joking that Spider-Man has a new haircut in the film. In the short video, Holland reveals that his hair artist Rachel's equipment "packed up" halfway through doing his hair, leaving him with a half-finished haircut that does not look very traditional for Peter Parker. You can see the hilarious video below:

The video reveals a relaxed environment, at least in the hair and makeup trailers, with the crew with Holland joking around. It's a good sign for the production, given it's being shot under strict COVID-19 safety protocols, which some movies have struggled with. Holland's joke also acknowledges the fan's need to find out about new looks for their favorite characters. In the past, Holland's Spider-Man costumes have been pored over by fans upon release, with the most obsessive looking for the smallest change in detail. So, if Peter was really to get a new haircut, you can bet fans would be all over it.

Holland's co-star Batalon proved the same when he revealed his character Ned's new look due to his recent dramatic weight loss. As for Holland, the joke video is a fun distraction for fans, but hopefully, Peter's look doesn't change too much in the new film. Audiences wouldn't mind an updated costume, though, especially given the MCU is now in a new Phase. With the first official footage from Spider-Man: Homecoming 3 expected to drop within the next month or two, they'll find out whether that's the case or not.
