Marvel Studios boss, Kevin Feige, pokes fun at Alfred Molina already confirming that he's involved in Spider-Man: No Way Home. Plot details for the film are still scant at the moment. But back in April, the actor spilled the details about his impending return to the comic book movie world via the Jon Watts and Tom Holland project. This was a major shocker since both Marvel Studios and Sony have been and continue to be very mum about the film.

There's a lot of speculations about No Way Home's story. Production has long finished, but except for the announcement of its official title and a couple of promo stills, there hasn't been any official marketing material for the movie thus far. Still, rumors are persistent that it will be a live-action attempt at a SpiderVerse narrative, with both Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield slated to return. Jamie Foxx was also previously reported to return as Electro, as well as Charlie Cox, reprising his Marvel/Netflix role as Matt Murdoch. However, with a heavily guarded set, there's no concrete proof that any of the aforementioned actors will indeed be in the film, and all of them have either denied or remained quiet about the matter.

Molina, however, is an entirely different story. He not only revealed that he's coming back for No Way Home, but he also shared a few bits of information about his impending return. So, when Feige was recently asked about the future of Julia Louis-Dreyfus' Contessa Valentina Allegra de Fontaine in the franchise by Entertainment Tonight, the MCU architect expertly evaded the question by saying, "you should ask Alfred Molina.” This was his way of subtly poking fun at the idea that Molina will have no issues spilling details about the matter, just as he talked about his upcoming reprisal of Doc Ock.

Unlike Evan Peters' WandaVision guesting, Louis-Dreyfus' introduction in The Falcon and the Winter Soldier was such a major shocker. Not only was the introduction of the Contessa unexpected, but the actress was also a massive get for Marvel Studios. At the end of the Anthony Mackie and Sebastian Stan-led show, there's a promise that there will be more of her character moving forward as her debut is often compared to the impact of Nick Fury's arrival back in Phase 1. But while Samuel L. Jackson's character was made clear to be assembling the Avengers from the get-go, it's still uncertain what Valentina is currently scheming.

As for Molina, it's somewhat interesting that Feige himself brought up the actor. The question posed didn't even connect to him or Spider-Man: No Way Home, and yet, he still found a way to mention him. Molina's comments were actually solidified reports that the much-anticipated blockbuster might be bringing together all three Spider-Man franchises thus far. As the film's release nears, the promotional campaign for the threequel is expected to begin soon. Hopefully, by then, its main narrative will be made clear so as to finally address put these rumors to rest.
