Spider-Man 3: Deadpool’s Colossus Actor Wants To Play Kraven

Kraven the Hunter and Colossus Header

Deadpool actor Stefan Kapičić wants to play Kraven the Hunter in Spider-Man 3. Kapičić has been acting since the early 2000s, but he's best known for playing the character Colossus in Deadpool and its sequel in 2018. Spider-Man: Far From Home just hit theaters last week, but fans are already speculating on who could be the villain in part 3 of the Spider-Man: Homecoming MCU trilogy.

Jake Gyllenhaal starred in Spider-Man: Far From Home as the famous Spidey villain Quentin Beck, a.k.a. Mysterio. The film also managed to introduce versions of Sandman, Hydro Man, and Molten Man to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, without feeling too cramped with villains like Sam Raimi's Spider-Man 3 and The Amazing Spider-Man 2Jon Watts will more than likely return for the third standalone Spider-Man movie starring Tom Holland. The director just recently revealed that he'd like to see Kraven the Hunter in Spider-Man 3, and it looks like he already has an actor who wants to take on the role.

Kapičić revealed his interest in the role in response to an article that Geek Vibes Nation shared on Twitter about Watts' recent comments. Keeping his response short and to the point, Kapičić responded to the tweet saying, "Me. As Kraven". Kapičić obviously hasn't been cast in the role yet, nor has Kraven been confirmed as the villain for Spider-Man 3. The full Twitter thread can be seen below:

Even if Kraven the Hunter isn't chosen as the villain for Spider-Man 3, Kapičić has another hypothetical shot at the role since Sony Pictures is developing a Kraven solo film. Details on Kraven are scarce as of right now, but the film will adapt The Last Hunt storyline from the comic books, with The Equalizer writer Richard Wenk penning the script for Sony. As of right now, the current belief is that Kraven, as well as the rest of Sony's planned Spider-Man villain universe, will remain separate from the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

With Sony still focusing on Spider-Man: Far From Home's box office performance, it's a bit too early to speculate on who should play Kraven. Watts has said multiple times that he focuses on the Spider-Man films one at a time, rather than trying to plan a long drawn out story from the beginning. Watts and the people behind the Spider-Man movies are no doubt already planning the next film, but it'll be a while until a decision is made on who'll play Kraven, if he even appears in Spider-Man 3.
