Gwen Stacy is a Spider-Man love interest from the comics who has been previously portrayed on-screen by Emma Stone and Bryce Dallas Howard in live-action and Hailee Steinfeld in Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse. Gwen Stacy has a superpowered alter-ego called Spider-Gwen, also known as Ghost-Spider, who is from an alternate universe in which Gwen was bitten by a radioactive spider instead of Peter Parker. Though there have been two live-action iterations of Gwen, Spider-Gwen has only been featured in animation and comics. Given the importance of her character in the Spider-Man series of those mediums, fans have been eagerly awaiting the day that Spider-Gwen makes her live-action debut.
