Breakout House of the Dragon star Milly Alcock becomes Spider-Gwen in a new Marvel fan art. The Game of Thrones prequel series boasts a number of formidable acting talents, including Paddy Considine and Matt Smith, which makes Alcock's standout performance all the more impressive. Alcock portrays a young Rhaenyra Targaryen in the series, with Emma D'Arcy set to take over the role after House of the Dragon's 10-year time jump. Young actors Alcock and Emily Carey (Alicent Hightower) delivered breakout performances that have left fans eager for more despite their upcoming replacements, which has led fans to search for other projects they can see the stars.

Alcock had a role in 2017's High Life as well as small stints in Australian series Janet King as well as A Place To Call Home. On Netflix, viewers can see Alcock in Pine Gap, and she stars in The Gloaming on Starz. In terms of upcoming projects, the only confirmed roles Alcock will be taking on after House of the Dragon are a turn in Upright season 2 and short film Furlough by Phoebe Tonkin. However, the acclaim Alcock has earned with her House of the Dragon role seems guaranteed to open the door for more opportunities. With few projects for fans of the actor to look forward to now that her House of the Dragon stint has ended, some fans have taken it upon themselves to manifest an exciting new superpowered role for her.

Visual artist clements.ink posted an impressively realistic look at Alcock as Marvel character Spider-Gwen. The artist specifically cited the growing fancasts of Alcock as Gwen as the inspiration for the drawing. Alcock certainly fits right into the character's fresh-faced, platinum blonde look, and her acting prowess proves that she could nail the part given the chance. Check out the portrait below:

Gwen Stacy is a Spider-Man love interest from the comics who has been previously portrayed on-screen by Emma Stone and Bryce Dallas Howard in live-action and Hailee Steinfeld in Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse. Gwen Stacy has a superpowered alter-ego called Spider-Gwen, also known as Ghost-Spider, who is from an alternate universe in which Gwen was bitten by a radioactive spider instead of Peter Parker. Though there have been two live-action iterations of Gwen, Spider-Gwen has only been featured in animation and comics. Given the importance of her character in the Spider-Man series of those mediums, fans have been eagerly awaiting the day that Spider-Gwen makes her live-action debut. Whenever that day does come, Alcock would be an excellent choice for the role due to her talent for portraying complex young women, and this fan art proves it.

There is, unfortunately, no timeline as to a potential live-action iteration of Spider-Gwen, but fans have speculated that Sony could use the character in a future project, with previous fan casts putting Sydney Sweeney, now set to star in Madame Web, in the role. With Emma D'Arcy taking over the role of Rhaenyra in the upcoming episodes of House of the Dragon, audience are sure to miss Alcock's version of the fascinating character. However, Rhaenyra is in good hands with the skilled D'Arcy, and perhaps, with fans clamoring for more of Alcock and Carey, the young actors could return in flashbacks later on in the series' run.
