After 23 years, the Spice World film still delivers laughs with iconic one-liners making it the cult classic it truly is. Though some may think it's one of those movies where the soundtrack is the best part, Spice World has never stopped being hilarious, with humorous lines delivered by the seasoned actors, celebrity cameos, and the girls themselves.

With landmark anniversaries coming up, there has been talk of a Spice Girls world tour that may be scheduled for 2023 which will include Victoria Beckham - who was not present for the 2019 UK/Ireland stadium tour. And, after the recent re-release of the Wannabe album in celebration of its 25th anniversary, fans may be in for quite a treat if the band fully reunites. In the meantime, these hilarious quotes from the iconic girl band's musical comedy still live rent-free in the heads of fans even today.

Clifford Tells A Lie:

"They're Hot, Chief. They've Got Fire In Their Eyes, Hunger In Their Bellies, And Great Big Shoes On Their Feet."

Richard E. Grant as Clifford in Spice World

While it doesn't feature any of the greatest British actors according to Ranker, Spice World does sport some well-regarded British talent, including Richard E. Grant as Clifford, the band's manager. This iconic line, delivered to Clifford's nefarious boss, is both edgy and provocative. In an attempt to satisfy the Chief, Clifford lies about the band's ambition.

On numerous occasions, the Spice Girls express their dislike of their fast-paced lifestyle. They often ignore Clifford's pleas for them to do more work, and this leaves him generally feeling overwhelmed. It also foreshadows the events that unfold when the singers realize that they don't want to live such chaotic lives, even if it is a glamorous lifestyle.

Mel B Breaks The Rules In Chess:

"Well, I'm Gonna Break The Rules And Set This Little Fairground Horse Free Amongst All The Little Square Fields, Like That."

Geri and Mel B play chess in Spice World

In a game of chess against Geri (Ginger), Mel B (Scary) displays her blatant disregard for the rules by cheating. To Geri's dismay, she makes an illegal move and doesn't seem to care. Even when Geri tries to impress the importance of the game's rules, Mel B stands firm in her decision.

While this is a funny skit between the two singers, it also foreshadows the willpower of the Spice Girls. Later on in the film, they refuse to perform at the sold-out Royal Albert Hall, and they almost go through with it. However, at the last minute, they turn up to not disappoint the fans.

Meat Loaf Makes A Cameo:

"Hey Man, I Would Do Anything For These Girls. But I Won't Do That."

Meat Loaf in his cameo as a a bus driver in Spice World

One of the most iconic guest stars in the film is Meat Loaf. The American singer plays Dennis, the tour bus driver, and he is very supportive of the Spice Girls.

However, when all of the onboard toilets break down, Dennis refuses to fix them. Even after Clifford asks him to do something about the plumbing, he refuses. This is even funnier once fans realize it's referencing one of Meat Loaf's most famous songs, "I'll Do Anything For Love (But I Won't Do That)."

Geri Makes A Joke:

"When The Male's Courting The Female, He Goes Up To Her And Pees On Her."

Throughout the film, Geri is given the opportunity to display her intelligence many times. Her knowledge is vast, and she would probably be the one who could win at any trivia game.

The morning after all five singers had a terrible nightmare, they gather outside in a colorful tent with comfy pillows and coordinated fuzzy robes. To lighten the mood from the previous night, Geri delivers this iconic line and makes everyone cringe and laugh. It's part of a great scene that showcases the Spice Girl's various British accents.

Victoria Gives Her Trademark Sass:

"This Dress Is Dry Clean Only, Melanie!"

The Spice Girls stand in front of Tower Bridge in Spice World

It's obvious throughout the film that Victoria (Posh) doesn't speak much. However, when she does, she gives some of the sassiest quotes in the entire movie which contribute to the film's humor (and the Spice Girl's Razzie-winning performance).

After taking two children on a spontaneous boat ride that ends in the vessel capsizing, the Spice Girls (and the two competition winners) end up in the water. Although they have life vests on to keep them afloat, Victoria begins screaming for help. When Mel C asks what's wrong, she answers in the most Posh Spice way possible.

The Chief Delivers A Riddle:

"The Headless Chicken Can Only Know Where He's Been. He Cannot See Where He Is Going."

Roger Moore answers the phone as The Chief in Spice World

Spoken by the Chief - played by former James Bond actor, Roger Moore - this quote is a hilarious mind-bender. Throughout the film, he delivers ominous lines in the form of riddles. This is most likely a nod to the 007 villains in his previous movies. Moore is no stranger to humor, having delivered some of James Bonds' funniest movie lines during his time in the role.

Only seen by himself in a stark room with a small animal - such as a cat, rabbit, or baby pig - in hand (another nod to classic Bond villains), the Chief is the main antagonist of the film. His confusing - yet humorous - lines are meant to trip up Clifford and force him to work harder.

Emma Gets Tired Of Her Image:

"You Know, I'm Always Gonna Be Seen As Baby Spice, Even When I'm...30."

Emma Bunton as Baby Spice singing in Spice World

Emma (Baby) is known for being sweet and innocent. Dressed in doll-like clothing with youthful pigtails, she is often seen with a lollipop in hand and a big smile on her face. However, she gets a bit tired of always being considered the cute one, and this quote is iconic for playing on that.

In this scene, she expresses her frustration and is met with a bit of mockery from her bandmates. Posh replies by saying that she plays up to Baby Spice all the time, and Sporty chimes in by saying she has the cutest smile to get away with anything. Later on, she uses her charms to get them out of trouble with the police.

Victoria Takes The Wheel:

"Bloody Sunday Drivers! It's Only Saturday."

During the reckless driving scene with Posh behind the wheel, the band races through London in an attempt to make it to the Royal Albert Hall in time for their sold-out concert.

Posh delivers this iconic line after running everything - including other vehicles, people, and pigeons - off the roads. They are all too slow for her liking, and she puts the pedal to the metal by flying over an opened drawbridge.  The scene is one of the most memorable in film.

Mel C Makes Fun Of Victoria:

"It Must Be So Hard For You, Victoria. I'm Meam, Trying To Decide Whether To Wear The Little Gucci Dress, The Little Gucci Dress, Or...The Little Gucci Dress."

The Spice Girls pose for fans in Spice World

It's no secret that Posh spends a lot of time in the mirror. As she is complaining about not knowing what to wear while the Spice World soundtrack plays in the background, fans are given this little treasure of a line from Mel C (Sporty).

When the Spice Girls are on the tour bus, they tend to pick at each other. This is a classic example of that. It's funny, and it plays into the importance of wardrobe to Posh. On the other hand, it also shows how little Sporty cares for fashion, and it lines the singers up into their rigid stereotypes from the beginning.

The Girls Charm An Officer:

"Is There A Problem, Officer?"

After their reckless driving stunt through London, the Spice Girls are confronted by a police officer. This is by far the most iconic line in the film because it sums up everything that the singers have been fighting against - stereotypes.

The first part of the line is delivered by Ginger, and Posh joins in at the end of it. The two are trying to flirt their way out of trouble, but it doesn't seem to work. Instead, Baby Spice has to come forward, apologize, and flash him her dazzling smile. In the end, the group was saved by leaning into a stereotype. The officer let them go, and they were able to make it in time to perform.
