Olmec is the final obstacle for the player to come across. The player will need to fully navigate Olmec's Lair and reach the fourth floor of the temple. The boss will stomp around the arena and knockdown debris and structures along with it. There is no direct way to damage Olmec either, meaning the player will have to use their surroundings to defeat it. The only way to defeat Olmec is by bringing him down to the bottom floor and having his colossal golden head fall deep within molting lava. This guide will help players defeat Olmec in battle very easily.

How To Beat Olmec Easily in Spelunky

Spelunky 2 Main Character

This fight can be done in under a minute if done properly. The moment the first begins, run directly to Olmec and wait for him to slam into the ground. Stand directly next to him and wait for him to jump again. When he jumps, walk under Olmec again to get him to stay in place. Keep repeating this process for Olmec to continue to dig directly down. Also, use the rope directly above you when standing to the left of Olmec. This prevents enemies from spawning above the player and avoid taking damage. Repeat this process until Olmec falls directly into the lava. Use the rope to avoid falling into the lava. This will defeat Olmec easily. It may take a few attempts but once the pattern is done, Olmec can fall in under a minute.

After the player defeats Olmec, the player will be rewarded with the Giant Idol and achieve the "Made It" achievement alongside the Jungle Warrior Character. Spelunky is an extremely addictive indie game that rewards players for being observant with their tight platforming. This is one of the games that pioneered the popularization of indie content in the gaming space. Especially when developers were finally given a chance to put out their own creations on the Xbox 360 and PS3. Now, hundreds of indie games can thrive on modern hardware. Spelunky is an important title in making that possible.
