Spellbreak is a battle royale title with a magical twist where players cast spells to eliminate their opponents. Unlike other battle royales, Spellbreak allows the player to customize their character's abilities before entering a match. Players can choose from six different schools of magic that represent different elements. They can also equip three different talents which act as passive abilities the player can upgrade by using scrolls.

Talents are very important as they give each character unique abilities that can give the player a leg up in battle. The player can customize which ones they have equipped by selecting the talent box in the bottom right corner of the class selection screen. New players may notice that they only have three talents to choose from starting out. That is because Spellbreak requires players to unlock more talents before they can equip them.

Unlocking Talents In Spellbreak

When players open the talent select menu they will see a series of talents with locks over their icons. This is because those talents have yet to be unlocked. On the right end of each talent, there are also a series of numbers and symbols. The yellow diamond icon with the larger number beside it is the amount of talent point it requires to be equipped. Each player has six talent points they can use to equip one of each of the mind, body, and spirit talents.

The other icons are the element and rank at which that talent will be unlocked. In order to unlock more talents, players will need to level up their classes. Each class (Frsotborn, Pyromancer, etc.) has its own tiers of level progression, some containing different talents. Players can check the talent select menu or the mastery rewards to see what level a certain class needs to be in order to a specific talent.

The better talents are locked behind the higher levels and require more talent points to use. Players will want to work out which talents are worth putting time towards unlocking, and which they won't use. It is also important to manage talent points as a player can only equip six points worth of talents. If a player wants to use two three-point talents, they will have to forfeit an entire talent. In short, leveling up classes is how players unlock more talents, and they can plan ahead by checking the talent menu.
