Space Jam: A New Legacy has received a brutally honest spoof trailer that makes fun of product placements, LeBron James and the Looney Tunes. The long-awaited Space Jam sequel was released in theaters earlier this month, starring James and fellow NBA and WBNA stars. The film featured several Easter eggs of other Warner Bros. properties, including Game of Thrones, the Matrix, and more.

Screen Junkies on YouTube created an Honest Trailer for Space Jam 2 that makes jokes about the new film. The nearly 6-minute trailer makes fun of all of the product placements and pegs for other Warner Bros. films the most. Also, it refers to James as a "corny goofball" and the "Cleveland Steamer." And the Looney Tunes aren't off-limits — the video pokes at the CGI-versions of the legendary cartoons, who transformed from their 2D forms "against their will."

The joke trailer for Space Jam 2 embodies nearly all of the criticisms people have made about the sequel. And it's a shame considering all of the hype surrounding the film, that some viewers were disappointed. But as the "honest" trailer says, fans "loved the first Space Jam because [they] were like 8," so it's not surprising many now-adult viewers didn't get the heavy dose of nostalgia that they were looking for. Check out the honest Space Jam: A New Legacy trailer below.

Fans of Screen Junkies "honest" trailers were begging for the media company to give Space Jam 2 the honest trailer treatment on Twitter. And it's clear, based on the mixed reactions, that the goofy version echoed their thoughts exactly. And considering the low numbers at the box office for the film, it looks like Space Jam: A New Legacy didn't exactly live up to all the hype.
